I can only think you are having another pop at me and what I said below:

We had eleven first team players and some necessary round pegs for square holes. Are you seriously telling us that you don't believe the coaching team discuss and explore ideas with players (the dessing room) and that this will inevitably shape the thinking and tactics to be used. I never said any player would be a decision maker, smply a sounding board; especially when selection options are so desperate and a player can give confidence and support to an unusual option (Jake).

You've shown your ignorance, again; don't derail the thread by being a dick, again.

Kilbane just gave City a right slating on Football Focus for their treatment of Phelan (video on my Twitter feed for anyone who's interested).

I believe he was given no pay increase when he was put in caretaker charge and he's not being offered much more to take the job permanently.

Kilbane seemed to think MP should be on parity with SB, which is a bit steep, but his general principle was critical and sound.

<laugh> All the managerial greats have let players pick what positions they play and formations <laugh> don't be so thick. Even for you this beggars belief.

It's his job he's in temporary charge, he wants the job full time - He calls the shots. He's not going to rollover and let players dictate who does what. The players have already implied in various interviews that preparation under Phelan is exceptional he provides them with great depth and opposition information, all HIS tactics will be tailored to the information HE provides.

    Have a day off eh?

Yes, you want me to find that for you as well?

A simple 'okay, I was wrong' would have sufficed.

Why are you making stuff up? Or are you so ****ing dense you have
    a problem reading?

    What have i said about:

Why have you just made that up? Or this:

    What are you on about?

I was clearly discussing what happened when we were in need of players, as i qualfied it by saying i was sure it would change going forward.

You really are coming across as an argumentative and very bitter fool.

The way you have written it suggests the players had an influence on his formation. I think we've established the fact they had no influence whatsoever.

See, I've done that without even calling you a cock! Whoops.

The way I wrote it??? What about what I actually wrote:

There is a huge diference in someone helping to shape your thinking and them actually making your decisions; although in your case it would appear to be beneficial.

It's a nonsense point you've picked for no better reason than to argue, again.

Influencing his thinking can be interpreted many ways. They influenced his tactics, or the players he had at his disposal influenced his tactics. It can still be interpreted either way. But again, you'll deny that.

    <laugh>

You've gone from telling everyone I said the players made the decision and were running the team to now trying to say there can be different interpretations of what I said; even though I took the trouble to explain my words as soon as you decided to be a pointless pain. Just keep backpedalling, you look dafter all the time you post. <doh>

Phelan sounded like he's about to agree a deal in his post match interview, he was far more positive, it seems something's changed.
