Is this a certifiable statement? If so, why am I watching such a insignificant Club? (COME ON YOU 'ULL')
Yes, Dortmund holds 25,000 behind the goal and they walk round with beer dispensers. No problems. But you can bet the SAG and Humberside Police will say 4,000 behind one goal would be a problem.
It's not actually true to say there's no problems, there are problems sometimes, in fact for some Bundesliga games (local derbies) there can be a complete alcohol ban in the stadium.
But there will still be 25,000 there whilst 4,000 having no alcohol dispensed would no doubt be deemed at the MKM.
The SAG and Humberside Police don't decide when people can drink in the stands, it happens at every FC game and every gig, it's only the law that prevents it at City games.
I've been to several Bundesliga games and they were some of the roughest matches I've ever been to. Frankfurt especially are a bunch of w*nkers.
I didn’t say they could. I said they would still consider 4,000 stood up at the MKM in a safe standing are would be a problem. (Actually it would be less as City don’t have the whole stand). Whereas 25,000 at Dortmund, and standing at other German clubs isn’t a problem. When it was first mooted some police officer who has obviously never seen what safe standing entails said it could mean a return to the bad old days and surges down the terraces.
Was told yesterday that anyone seen consuming fruit or vegetables in and around the stadium will immediately be apprehended by peroxide blonde Tracey & her buddy big Shaz and be made to eat the healthy combo of double deep fried cheesy chips and 4 cheese burgers from the caravan park end of the stadium. Watched careful by Mark & Roid Steve.
Given that it's just over three weeks until the next rugby match is played on the pitch, I hope that video is many days old. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
City is what about just less than halfway up the Champ table in terms of stadium capacity....Off the top of my head grounds with bigger capacity's than ours.. Sunderland, Sheff Utd, Sheff Wed, Mbro, Stoke, Cardiff, Bristol, Derby, Leeds, Coventry, Blackburn (Not too sure), WBA (not too sure) Norwich (tight) Smaller: Luton, Oxford, Portsmouth, QPR, Millwall, Swansea, Burnley, Watford, Preston, Plymouth Think we might need another say 6k to get us into the top quarter.
