Akpom. Ran hard and worked well. Scored. Meyler. Peach of a strike. After that a few had solid games and hard to pick one but will go Elmo Though I nearly went a few others. Only Robbo had a mare and just looked like his confidence had gone, mixed with some general bad luck and bad passes!
Livermore Dawson Chuba ca! Odubajo was my defensive player, but he could only be 4th! Clucas was good along with Meyler, Elmo improved from SW. Basically we did what I expected, Ipswich were **** & flattered to deceive early on, people saying it was going to be tough were not close!
1. Meyler - I'm giving him top spot because he got a start and made a difference (plus I like Chazz, but not in the same way that he likes Abel) 2. Choooba - worked hard and got the important second goal 3. Elmo - possibly his best game of the season, long may it continue as he'll be unplayable in thI s league if he keeps this up Makes a nice change not to be forced to put a defender in there.
Akpom Livermore Hernandez Hernandez obviously didn't want to come off and his movement was certainly missed when he did. Not his best game but some nice touches.
Livermore by a long way. Up until our first goal he was the only one worthy of a vote. Meyler. More influential as the game went on. Akpom. Just because.
Akpom - confident performance especially after his goal Meyler - Great strike and his overall performance justified his inclusion in the starting line up Livermore - bossed the midfield and tried to get us moving forward
Akpom - was outstanding upfront. Livermore - first time I've seen him back, and absolutely bossed the midfield. Meyler - 110% effort, what a finish!
Livermore Meyler Akpom Could easily have been Dawson or Elmo, Bruce was good as well, apart from that daft tackle (though Meyler's was worse).
I thought Dave was excellent. I really like him. Akpoms got a bit of a sulk about him. All had their moments both good and bad. I was pleased for Robbo that he put that through ball to Clucas for the first goal. Livermore doesnt get in for me cos if his refusal to shoot in the first half .Pass the ball pass the buck. FFS Jake shoot. Some of Alexs passes were excellent, Charon must be dying inside Dave Bruce Meyler
Akpom easily best player tonight so much so that Ipswich resorted to kicking lumps out of him Livermore Meyler
A lot did have good games tbh it's cruel to pick 3 as the standard flow of MOM. All round decent team performance
My initial post had Livermore rather than Elmo and I changed it. Shows how hard it was to pick, and I am still undecided.
