    So who do you prefer?

    Personally I'm more for Laudrup.

    SERIOUSLY????????

Raed almost any thread of more than 6 posts and it is a Laudrup v Monk thread. Sometimes it's the subplot - but it's there.

Different styles, different teams, different times. Very different managers both have or are doing us proud.

I'm happy with both Laudrup's past achievements as manager and with Monk's current stewardship.

We must remember that Laudrup is a part of our story and brought us success but also it must be acknowledged that Monk has achieved much as a Rookie manager and that our club appears to be safe in his hands and we can't ask for any more than that

Time to bury flailing hatchets and move on with thanks for Laudrup and hope for Monk.

This has to be a not very funny joke that will disappear when Valley spots it.

He's the bloke who Garry wants to! eventually and in many decades - possibly another life time - be able to be fit to tie the shoe laces of of the bloke who brings Laudrup his news papers.

    You're welcome.

Provided it doesn't turn into a bitchfest I'll leave it open. Tbh I was expecting WW3 on this thread but surprisingly it's been trouble free.
Once any nonsense starts, I'll just delete it. For now, I'll give benefit of the doubt.

Well my my that's a change in attitude. Normally anyone mentions the L word you're over it like a fly on ****. <laugh>

So in the spirit of debate here's my two cents:

Laudrup was one of the best managers this Club had ever had. Why?

1: His signings. All on the cheap and most (though not all) delivered in spades.

2: We won the League Cup. Who'd have thought? The Swans back in Europe. What an adventure. Despite some knuckle-dragging morons wanting to airbrush this fact out of our history because you-know-who was in charge, they can't and it's fact so suck it up.

3: Best League position in the Prem (9th I think?). Wow. Again, who'd have thought?

I can understand why he was sacked as we were drifting but no matter what anyone says that doesn't erase a wonderful season. The disrespect shown buy some posters here who aren't fit to tie the man's shoe laces makes me want to vomit. Well, you did ask. <laugh>

So at the moment it's Laudrup by a country mile. But in fairness to Monk he's made a decent start, is learning (slowly) and we may actually achieve even more with him in time. Who knows? I read one poster saying "we've achieved so much under Monk". I almost burst out laughing. Monk has achieved nothing, nada, zip. If we get 9th and win a cup come end of season he's level pegging but he hasn't yet. If he does more than that he can claim the title.
