Just seen highlights on match of the day,god we looked bad.lets face it adel isnt a striker and the team looks disjointed, you look forward all week to see the team play and hope for a win that will set us off on a run that sees us just avoiding the drop on the last day,oh no thats last season WHEN WE COULD SCORE . Why not give bothroyd a go,i dont understand this way of playing draws arent good enough its bemusing!
Agree...total bemusing why we aren't going all out for wins. I'd rather go all out and get thumped than start with no ambition, and unsurprisingly achieve nothing.
And if Zamora can only play 45 mins why not START him!? So maybe, just maybe, we'll be winning the game when he's taken off, instead off bringing him on in a pathetic and desperate attempt to revive a two goal deficit.
agreed, redknapp says only fit for 45 mins, how long does it take this guy to recover surely he has had reserve games and extra training i know he has been out for a while but so has andy carroll he had a 30 min stint back in at the end of a game then played the whole of his next game and scored the winner?
Id rather try and defend a 1 or 2 goal lead than start the 2nd half with a forward and be 2 goals behind. Wed be better off playing Hewitt than Taarabt or Mackie up front.
Ye Gods you change every week Flyer Taarabt even on the highlights looked like he could play anywhere and on the ball was easily the most skilful player on the ball . SWP was unlucky with a pure class strike Hewitt mate you are grabbing at straws moaning for the sake of it Should we drop Cesar? After all he could of done better with the three chances You are already cutting into Harold Hasn't taken long has it ? Fresh week starts now We play united next so you will be in your element as we expect to well beaten not even worth going is it?
Ill go, but I wont enjoy it but Ill put myself through the punishment as thats what this season has been. The last PL goal I saw for either team was on boxing day. Taarabt might be skilful but hes not a centre forward.
Sorry I've never rated Samba and today showed why. Seriously overpriced and overrated. If he was only 40% fit he wouldn't be played!
I'm sorry if I'm going off message here, chaps. But I no longer believe that the Rs will survive the drop. Don't get me wrong; I live in hope and want them to so much that it hurts. I just don't think that it will happen. We've been given a number of great opportunities to climb out of the mire in the last couple of months since Redknapp took over, but have failed to capitalise on the poor results of our relegation rivals. In many ways the Christmas period was the killer. After some encouraging results, such as the win against Fulham, there was the feeling that we could get something at Newcastle and at home against the Baggies. But those two ended in defeat. Results around the Rs were equally poor and, had we picked up 3-4 points then, the team could easily have climbed up a few places and perhaps kicked on. The recent unbeaten run has been a false promise. Great result at Stamford Bridge, followed by similar against Spurs, West Ham and Citeh, again proved encouraging. But we really needed those 3 points against Norwich. And we really needed something today... A point at least. I think Shearer is right on MoTD when he says we need 6-7 wins from the last 12 games. Can you see this happening? Like... really? Last year under Hughes there was a sudden discovery of home form and passion. Survival by the skin o' the teeth was welcome, but perhaps could have been more comfortable but for the flurry of red cards. But there WAS passion. This season we've been ****. Honestly, really ****. Yeah, of course there's been the odd flurry of "great stuff", but generally it's been ****. Valiant rearguard defence has been a highlight. A highlight, for heaven's sake! We've shipped goals and fallen to pieces time and time again. We can't hold onto a lead, and appear hugely vulnerable within minutes of actually scoring (as again evidenced today). We can point to Remy's absence and make excuses. We can hope it'll all be different when he returns. Do we really think that it will? What is it that happens to professional footballers when they pull on a QPR shirt that renders them so abject and impotent? Why is it that others teams can show resilience and solidarity? Why can they entertain and take the plaudits, yet the Rs don't win friends? In fact, there are signs that we are loathed and our relegation will be the cause of some celebration from Swansea to Norwich, and from Newcastle to Southampton? Everybody used to like little old QPR back in the day. No, I think we're going down. I'm sorry, but I can't see any green shoots that suggest otherwise. A win against Manchester United might provide some hope, but that's as likely as me getting a tit **** off Denise Miliani.
I took a break from this forum for a while and returned by starting a thread in which I implored us to play with some joy. **** it.. play with flair - bring a bit of adventure - let's go down with some memories of us being unafraid. Jeez....a bit of.. I'll use the word.. FUN
Agree. Always disappointed when we see Adel as a striker. He needs the ball at his feet to run and players an make things happen. One of those players who enjoys creating as much as scoring. Gutted. Can't see us getting out of this now.
Sorry boys. SAMBA. How much did you pay for him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And on £100k a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How long is his contract. He was **** today.
yhe for starters he's not on anything like a 100 grand a week. Alright, so he's a had a ****e game, everyones entitled to a few, surely?
