what team and formation should we put out. They're going to go 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 and make it difficult for us to break them down. They're happy with a point we aren't, we need all three. Does it make it a bit cat and mouse.
It's always difficult when your opposition park the bus. Even San Marino can usually hold out for an hour against England till they run out of gas.
They won't park the bus, they're naturally compact anyway and will look to use the pace of Gray to get in behind our rather slow defence. The biggest threat from Burnley is carried in set pieces, which we tend to give away an awful lot of, so fix that and I think our improvement in quality will see us through.
We can't be giving Robbie Brady the opportunity to fire in free-kicks from just outside the box. I we can nullify Gray and Barton we'll be ok.
True but the slimy little **** will be keen to go to ground easily especially from tackles from Harry trying to get set pieces. Barton and Thudd have a bit of history so maybe he could be targeted and drawn into 2 yellows.
In case anyone's forgotten... skip to about 2 minutes. One of SB's better moments. http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/steve-bruce-joey-barton-red-card-you-punching-people-knackers-ya/
