We have had some decent Smoggy's to be fair, Clough for one. And this lad looks like he means business.
Think he is coming in to add to the lad we have already got in that department. First sign of rebuilding and expanding the backroom structure I hope.
I'm looking forward to the match tomorrow (as I always do) but I'm also looking forward to the Coventry game when he has had them on the training pitch for a decent amount of time. He hasn't really had that yet with all the matches so quickly
Can you make an ‘unfit’ player ‘fit’ in a day or two or even a week or two ? Fairs fair this is not a quick fix this is long term thinking. Any early result would certainly be psychological rarther than physical - though I’ll take anything we can get. KTF
Hopefully he has got this new bloke, the new keeper coach and maybe another by then and a decent amount of time to assess them.
Maybe these were the staffing issues that held the investment deal up Strange we're getting new backroom staff once it's all settled
Beggars belief what the hell was doing. Almost xmas and the squad have fitness issues. No wonder we were playing so much hoofball, the blokes weren't fit enough to play a high press/counter attacking game. Ross was nothing but a smooth urbane gob5hite. God only knows what the hibs board are thinking.
In this level with the skill not being as it is in the higher leagues fitness is the key.. that and strength in this league. Unfortunately Ross wanted a small team that was unfit.. no wonder he got peddled.
Without getting too 'jumpers for goalposts' it astounds me that pro athletes on thousands per week who work 2 maybe 3 hours per day arent fit. It is surely up to the coach and backroom staff to be monitoring this and motivating the players to be the fittest they possibly can. What an utter fraud ross was
the players are professional athletes yet I've seen Sunday league players look fitter than our players
I just get the impression that ross didn't have the respect of the players. As if they knew he wouldnt say a Dickie bird if they were blowing out of their aerosols after 1 half of footie. So glad he's gone
It's true that he wasn't working them hard enough but the way that we invariably came back after conceding (another issue with Ross to be fair) and fought until the final whistle suggests that once again you're talking out of your arse about Ross. Let it go man, he's gone. Bitching about him in every other post you make isn't going to make him any more gone. You remind me of Moyes who couldn't stop moaning about Man United.
