Me too, first one was from grandparents house, had a little ear plug, just like one of these newly fangled ear buds but probably made in the 1950s. Next was one of those electric circuit kits, you could connect up the radio receiver thing to the solar cell. There was a, I think variable resister, knob to twiddle for tuning. Mostly I used the kit to turn the output of a 9v battery into something that could cook an insect. Evil little bastard.

 

A simpler (and better) time.
