More worried about what the 2nd and 3rd strips will look like. Will we need sunglasses when looking at them again?
Id prefer it if we went back to the old fashioned way. Play in blue unless there is a clash when away then have a change strip. Something sober. Pink or lime green are not colours for football shirts. I like the black with yellow trim. The flag of St David. Or maybe go back to the brown and yellow quarters of Riverside AFC. Really retro.
It's strange really that in many ways I'm a real stick in the mud and keen on not changing traditional things even if the change offers an improvement. But for some reason, I don't have a problem with kits. Each to their own.
Yep, saw this one doing the rounds. I thought exactly the same Nin, the good old Buckley's Brewery sponsored shirt... To be honest, although this looks ok it's just the Liverpool shirt from 19-20 season in blue, so would be hoping for something a little more original and unique. There does seem to be a bit of a clamour for our change kit to be Riverside colours this year. The club would do well to get on that and try make some money out of it!!
Home and away kits, especially 3rd choice kits are unecessary and just a marketing exercise to create a revenue stream - sell as many shirts as you can. Remote got it right earlier - just use the new home kit both at home and away unless there is an obvious clash when an alternative needs to be used. Promote the side in the flesh, on the box or in the media as a constant image - we don't need to trawl the spectrum every season for alternatives.
I like the black second kit we had 11 years + ago but that is too close to clubs with blue home kits and does nothing for televised games or highlights. So while black can be one version out of 3 we need another alternative. Not white or red which limits the choice somewhat. Orange or lime green maybe but not pink thankyou.
