Wey, aye, but the last year under KLD has been decent. Clearly moving forward. But last 2 weeks are shocking (I don't believe it's due to Donald etc) , they've made big mistakes

It’s been a shambles on the pitch as well. Let’s hope the new manager hits the ground running despite the defensive **** show he’s inherited.

 

Things ive learnt in 24 hours.....

He's a secret Sunderland fan

He likes to randomly turn up in full SAFC attire and watch us training chasing shadows

He likes to look at maps in Full SAFC training gear at train stations

He is 40 going on 70 appearance wise

 

Disagree. Still lingering around the play-offs and the last 2 weeks has been an absolute embarrassment, undoing any ‘decent’ work.

 

It is strange that there has been no announcement, even a short paragraph. Like everyone else, I'm guessing here.

Just announcing the new appointment of Alex Neil would take 5 minutes to do, so this may indicate that they are preparing a lengthy statement explaining the events of the last two weeks, or if KLD and Speakman have not seen eye to eye during this process then maybe they are going to announce that KLD has dispensed of his services.
If it was anything to do with the shareholder change, then according to some that's been done for ages, so you would think an announcement would have been drafted weeks ago. So I would doubt it is just down to that.

Other than the above and the possibility of a free agent signing, then I can't think of anything else that would cause them to delay it.

 

There's obviously a reason mate, ffs it's clear as the nose on your face.

But we live in a 'me me me now now now' society and anger is always the first resort.

 

The year is 2023, Alex Neil has completed his 50th game as Sunderland head coach.

The formal confirmation of his appointment is still pending.

 

I agree mate, but surely the best way to get everyone moving on is to announce the new manager isn't it?

You have to wonder what the last two weeks has done to working relationships within the club. Does KLD still trust Speakman. Does he want to look to increase his shareholding.
Also do they want to try and announce this new investment to try and calm down some of the noise. It’s been a very strange week.
