You have very low standards if you think cleaning bird crap off your seat is acceptable when you’re paying to be somewhere.

It is still a great stadium I would agree and every seat has a clear view. Unfortunately it has not been well maintained. I don't think it is fair to expect fans to have to deal with the amount of bird poo that existed for such a long time. Also whilst some of the toilets may be OK some are certainly well below the standards normally expected and as TOM said earlier the SMC has long been aware of the issues. I know some issues date back to when the stadium was built. I understand some of the plumbing was not completed correctly and the painting of the breeze block walls (which was meant to smarten the area and facilitate easier cleaning) never happened. It still hasn't happened. I am old enough to recall appalling standards of cleanliness at BP and countless away grounds but most clubs now have decent facilities whilst sadly the MKM stadium sometimes falls short.

He was at Scunthorpe, a club operating with a tiny budget in League One. During his tenure, they avoided relegation to League Two, finished 3rd and 5th before they started declining (which IIRC was when Swann stopped putting his money in). Not sure how any of that was his fault.

He joined Notts County *after* their winding up order had been issued, despite this he was there when they were promoted to League One and left shortly after they went down to League Two.

He might be a massive bellend, he did play for Boston United and their fans are ****ing idiots, but he'll be judged on what he does at City and no more.

Scunny weren't operating on a tiny budget when he was there, Swann has racked up eleven million quids worth of debt and transferred the ownership of their stadium, and valuable surrounding land, to another of his companies. Oh and Rodwell had to make do with a paltry 200k annual wage in his time there. :emoticon-0100-smile

Yes, but they didn't rack up £11m worth of debt in League One, they barely had any decent players in that period. I don't know how much sway Rodwell had over Swann, but I'd guess it was an amount less than 1.

I’m not sure anyone has much sway over Swann

The thirteen managers he's employed don't! The lack of decent players could be down to his transfer committee guff, oh and perhaps his chief scout who just happens to be his son, who was the ripe age of 23 when appointed had weeks of football experience. :emoticon-0100-smile

Speaking of the stadium's deterioration, what happened to that purple light that used to run around the top of the East stand on night games? Always thought that was a nice touch, and unique to our stadium. Can't remember when it was last on but probably several years ago.

Is it beyond you to find a seat that isn't covered in bird **** ? There are plenty to chose from.

Wasn't so long ago we'd be clearing snow off the pitch to get the game on.

He's working on that. Good job he's not our owner, as he's threatened legal action via solicitors letters over internet comments towards him. :emoticon-0100-smile

It’s the little things like the bare cinder blocks on the concourse, would cost a few thousand to plaster and paint. Would make it look brand new!
