I pay for a specific seat, is it beyond a multi-million pound business to clean an area customers use? I go with a group of friends. Where I sit there’s no areas with enough seats free together.
I can’t believe people are defending the bird **** issue. Someone mentioned the staircases in East stand, particularly the one used for exit. There’s **** over the handrails as well the stairs, we’re not talking a slight mark here and there, and it’s been there since before lockdown. Its basic hygiene and this far into the 21st century with a “modern” stadium we should be aspiring to higher standards rather than a City version of “the four Yorkshiremen”. it’s not even as if it’s a complex solution - a bit of jet washing and better netting/bird proofing of the roosting spots is all that’s needed.
The “drops” of rain shouldn’t be mocked by wearing a cap either, when it’s chucking it down me and the people around us get absolutely soaked, it’s a joke. Just fix the roof, never been in any away stadium and had this issue and I’ve been to some ****holes. It’s been like this for about 10 years and we’ve complained numerous times yet nothing ever gets done.
I’m semi retired I would go in and power wash the seats for **** all, anything to stop grown men crying over a bit of bird crap
The stadium is lacking a few things on the outside, better lighting on the walkways through West Park, seemed very dark the other night. Some more heritage, a statue of Chris Chilton, heritage information boards pointing out where the original Anlaby Road ground was and where the South Stand terracing still is under the brambles and some Cricket history of the Circle, young people just don't know the sites history so eventually a club museum next to Tiger Leisure. The West Stand MKM banners of Ashbee, Chilton and Deano are good though.
Yes, What if we actually did have a full stadium? Saturday was busy in the East Stand, still good to move seats?
I wonder if you pay 30 quid to go see a show at the new theatre you have to clean your own seat and get wet from a leaking roof. No excuses.
In the grand scheme of things, the issues with the stadium aren't huge, but they also wouldn't take a whole lot to rectify.... For me it's just about having a little pride in your home ground. They are relatively simple fixes that would improve the ground.... A bit of time and effort goes a long way imo
My (toffee) mate watched the game with me and while we appreciated the long distance shots of the stadium, he was a bit confused at why it was so dark all around the stadium. I explained on one side is parkland which made sense, but was also explaining how on the other there's a lot of wasted land which really should be developed given the opportunities with the stadium.
Nobody tells Assem when to clean his stadium. If they did, he'd probably guarantee to do it in the next 24 hours.
