If Hull City owe £30 million to Acun it will make it harder to borrow more money commercially. Any lender would want to know how they will get paid if, as sometimes happens to football clubs, City become insolvent, especially if Acun secures his debt on City's assets. One reason he may be reluctant to heap the Allamhouse debt repayment onto City's balance sheet.
Anyone think Acun might think there is an outside chance with a bit of a run the club could possibly reach the play off positions this season, hence why some types of players are coming in straight away.
Yes alot Look back in amber got 1000/1 to be promoted and i got 2 x 500/1 to reach the play offs and think rover and couple of others on betting thread had a crack at it to. Think Amber also got 250/1 to reach play offs to.
When I sat with her, her husband Jim was usually there with her. That was a while back though, but maybe that was why your mate didn't get too far. She wasn't too shabby though.
Random observation. I never realised Cliff Byrne was 39... He's had a tough paper round. I had him down for late 40's minimum.
I know I made a joking post about it the other day but it's not just a matter of the points to be made up it's the number of teams between us and 6th, there is next to no chance we make it because we'd have to win virtually every game for the remainder of the season. You need roughly 75 points to scrape into 6th, and we currently have 29 with 57 left to play for. So we'd need a further 15 wins from our 19 games.
Worth a dabble though teams have done it before and you can never tell who above us will now have bad run of form we have had it and some others will to it always happens so it's worth an interest, and we can only dream if the takeover has had an effect on last 2 games it might be more of the same for a few more.
Who was the last team to win almost all games in the second half to make the play offs? Genuinely can't remember. I know there's been teams who've had poor starts and then come good (e.g. Barnsley last season, Forest this season) but they've 'come good' far earlier in the season.
