This season i would happily play boring football until safe….then close season regroup, rebuild and hopefully push on
Welcome home Gareth As said previous he was a great servant at the club and was terrific to watch in his day. Great to see long hair has made it back too He’s here. I’m looking forward to it. I’m on his side. Time for the players to buck up and get playing. Love to see Shaun Derry come in with the coaching staff to work with our defence. He’ll take no prisoners either and even maybe help with some leadership issues at the back. Win Win. Wild thing is back!!
WLS: “Richard Dobson, his assistant at Wycombe, is moving to Loftus Road with him. So too is analyst Josh Hart.” Oh dear what’s happening to our current analyst?
He's not messing around. Let's face it he wouldn't be 11 years at a club if he wasn't up to it. Good start...
Happy for Ainsworth to be appointed. He obviously know some stuff to last 8 years at one club, Hope it translates to something positive for us, God knows we could do with some. Ainsworth on stage, front & centre. The band starts playing now…….
This thread gives a good insight into some of the tactics Gazza used at Wycombe and also a look at Dobson. Very positive I'd say...
Dont underestimate Gareth, since Akenfenwa retired, Wycombe have been mixing it up and have played 5 different systems in the last 5 games and won all 5 ! Against Derby he provided a tactical masterclass and ended their 15 match unbeaten run.
https://fb.watch/iQUtGbju_X/ Good watching his interview on Facebook. He's quite direct about wanting to see the ball played forward quicker, and taking nothing but 100% from the players.
Loved that interview, so enthusiastic and positive. I really hope it works out for him and us. Going to get my tickets for Rotherham.
Just hope this doesn't tarnish his legendary status.... Hope this link works of his saying farewell to the Wycombe players...
Thanks for sharing - great interview. I know it's silly and little, but even the fact he gives a 'come on you Rs' a the end is why he's different from anyone else I can remember since Ollie. If he fails, it certainly won't be through lack of effort or desire. I so hope this turns into something brilliant - Ainsworth's Blue and White Army!
**** me, he’s only just got here and we’ve gone down a place Stoke moved up. Rotherham winning below us. Brum & ‘pool losing below.
