Today my wife and I welcomed our first child into the world, with the KCOM in view from the window. Orlagh Georgina, welcome to the wonderful world of Hull City. I make no apologies for the thread title.
Brilliant news for you both Sterling.... in time for registration before the deadline too.... well done..!!
I'd also like to offer thanks to the staff at HRI maternity ward. Our midwife finished at 6am, but stayed an extra hour to allow for a smooth transition. When baby was on her way, we had a room with two doctors, three midwives, two student midwives, a midwifery assistant and an anaesthetist. It felt crowded but it really reassured my wife that so many people were helping out. They do go the extra mile for their patients, couldn't be more grateful.
Congratulations to you and your wife Sterling. I presume you have mansplained you have done all the hard work and now it's over to her
Congrats to you both. Sounds traumatic, which btw you’ll never forget but she will. Which I’ve never understood with a woman’s ability to remember literally anything else.
Orlagh is a feminine name of Gaelic origin, and is said to mean 'Precious Princess'. Its original Irish spelling is Orlaith and although not often found in England, both the original and the modern form are popular in Ireland. This is one of the Anglicised spelling of Órfhlaith, others being Órlaith and Órla.
It seems your woman has done sterling work , congratulations to her and a small pat on the back for you . You may even deserve a drink .
