Time start another transfer window thread for the upcoming shopping season. Anything you see - stick it up here. <ok>

I just posted something on another thread - I'll try and move it across here to its' proper home.

Incoming - rumours on Nathaniel Clyne only and they have gone quiet since last week.

I think we all know what we need. Going to be an interesting few weeks.

As for out going. Can we get Pilks and Tomlin off the wage bill after failing 3 months ago?

Anyone else we would like to see exit?

Watch out for Masky and Aber. They are like rats up a drainpipe.

Replying to myself here. Forgot about Madine. He can foxtrot oscar as soon as possible. Put the £6m wasted in the pot marked Cornelius and Tomlin.

Time for a big clear out IMO.

Richards, Connolly, Damour, Madine, Tomlin & Pilks.

Others where the question still not answered.

Peltier, Cunningham, Gunnarsson, Hoilett, Ward, Zahore.

If we don't have the money to replace them maybe it's time to see if any of U23 or U18 teams call make a claim. (I'd bring Healey back too)

Agree 100% with this if we don't have some decent dosh for another striker.

Just looking at a WOL article about players Warnock's brought to City so far. Some great like Bamba, Mendez and Hoilett (up until this season anyway), and to be fair, many were brought in just for cover, but some real bloopers in there.........

    Kieran Richardson
    Marouane Chamakh
    Greg Halford
    Ibrahim Meite
    Lee Camp
    Lee Tomlin
    Omar Bogle
    Liam Feeney
    Rolf Feltscher
    Gary Madine
    Yanic Wildschut
    Jamie Ward
    Armand Traore

Problem is wages. Unless City agree to pay all or the bulk then unlikely any clubs will want to take them on loan.

Best option would be to sell especially if little time left on their contracts. But again you’re back to wages.

Another issue with the players you’ve listed (apart from sick note Richards) is they have all gone ‘stale.’ They just don’t play football.

If Warnock gets his wishlist of "4 or 5 players in January", then that means 4 or 5 have to go out of the present "25" for the second half of the season. Something has got to give - we really don't need to pay them for not being able to play.

That's of course unless we go for talented under 23 players who can't get a game at the mega clubs - they would be additional to the 25. The problem is do we go for young flair like those sort of guys, or older experienced players at this level to grind it out?

Looks a good Championship player who has made a great start to the season. But....

Championship to Prem - a gamble as we have seen.
We have 4 wingers in our squad. Do we want another? One would have to go. Probably Hoilett on current form. Swap???
Would Forest allow him to go if they are to make an assault on promotion. I don't think they are strapped for cash.

All early days but good to have some speculation to discuss. <ok>

Putting the Swansea issue to one side, he is 33 and not the most mobile of players.

Given the chance he knows where the back of the net is but is hardly a player who is going to run around and get involved in a pressing game.

However, he is a good target man and can hold the ball up well. If we want him, get him on loan and do a deal with Spurs on wages.

He hasn’t done a lot since leaving us, only 50 games in 4 years, sounds like he’s still a bit of a sick note or isn’t good enough. A no from me, no better than Ralls.

Tend to agree - another dip into the bargain basement rather than sorting out the decent stock available.

Of course it coud be just agent-speak and a load of tosh........:emoticon-0138-think:emoticon-0138-think

Need to wind his age back a few years and not sure Colin would put up with him.

But, a very good player for us in his time and we would have beaten Blackpool in that play off final were it not for his injury. The moment I saw him pull up holding his hamstring I knew we were Donald Ducked.

Bothroyd, Burke, Chopra, McCormack, Bellamy!!! Can't recall if we had them all at the same time but some great forwards who we would welcome now if in their prime.
