I’m right behind this. I’ve had negativity for 14 years, time to be positive and optimistic. There are clear flaws in our side, individually. But we have real quality in attacking areas and we were literally a Martin Dubravka away from a 3-0 victory yesterday. Fraser, Willock, Joe, Almiron will all be transformed.
The Darlow/Dub thing is just weird. Dubs is obviously fit otherwise he wouldn't be on the bench. And he is fit enough to play for his country but not us? Eh? It's costing us points.
There's definitely reason for positivity, but if we don't get 6 to 9 points before the run vs the top sides we're looking at a one to 2 year delay
I think that will be the last time we ever see Karl Darlow on a pitch. He was ****ing dreadful. Like really really ****ing dreadful. He was so ****ing bad. There was a point in second half where he didn't even know where the ****ing ball was in his own box for a good 10 seconds he was looking all over for it.
He’s captain. Shhh, I know he used to play for the opposition, but he’s our man now and I want teamwork. Any questions?
This all day Roly, I just can’t remember feeling this confident in our club’s direction. **** the table. It’s only 12 games.
Only thing I will say on this is I have a feeling Darlow was supposed to play as a sweeper keeper, part of the training at SJP last weekend would have been to judge where he can boot the ball to on the wings I think. Only thing that makes sense to me. Thankfully we should never see him again.
I honestly think newcastle should pull a covid crisis and get arsenals game cancelled/ postponed. The game 3 days after with fresh legs at home is important
I wouldn't be surprised if we beat them mate, then **** up against Norwich, Its the NUFC way and always has been
We're most likely going to be a good 3 maybe 4 results off 17th if before we play Norwich. I understand fans need to tell themselves the things they like hearing, but the situation really is looking bad. Nufc has to win a few over the next couple of weeks having not won a single game all season..
You have this habit of deciding someone is **** and then blaming them for everything. There is absolutely no way you can blame the goalkeeper for that second goal. He has to watching his near post when there is a cross coming in as any early contact will be heading that way. It was an exquisite cross and the only one who you might attribute blame to would be Murphy for not picking up his man there. It would be impossible for Darlow to cover his near post and then claim a long cross. All he could do would be to scramble across and hope it hit him. Having said that it was noticeable that we were trying to play it short more from goalkeeper and he doesn’t fill me with confidence when he is doing that. To be honest though I dont think Dubravka ever plays a ball short so it could be an area we struggle in. However we have to do it if we want to play a more possession based game.
I disagree mate, he was at fault for all 3, he's indecisive as ****, it wasn't even an attempted save, he jumped like a spaz after the event into Henry, Only thing the **** does is kicks his goal posts in a soft as **** manner looking like he's geeing himself up. He's **** and so is Woodman. I think Darlow's issue is bravery, he is soft as **** and doesn't challenge anywhere near enough in fear of getting hurt.
Draws will do, losses are what we need to avoid wherever possible. I can wait till Jan for the wins. There’s 78 points available and that’s a demonstrable fact, not a fantasy. No universal rule says that we can’t have a better last 2 thirds of a season compared to the opening third. Negative noo noo [cooyright DPP]
I'll go further than Munson. Darlow is really really ****, So much so he would struggle in the SPL. Ritchie is past it. Clarke is ****ing ****e and not SPL standard, same can be said for Lascelles, and I don't know what the **** is wrong with Willock this season either.
Actually if you read back to post match its me saying we're not quite gone yet If we don't win any of the next 3 we're gone
