Staying up miracle all but done, and the excitement of a cup run for the first time in years.
I predict a battering for poor Rochdale.

 

We need to get beat asap .. the worst thing is we keep getting lucky in the draws, so we will end up suffering in the league... we cannot win the cup. All this crap about a cup run is sad... oh remember when we got to the 5th round ? Who cares ? I want prem football .

Indeed ... risk one or two , but not almiron or willems ... give ritchie minutes maybe ? Chelsea coming we need those three , but ritchie needs mins ... id hate to lose him though so i dunno.

It is literally difficult to pick a team with the amount of injuries:
Dubravka
Hayden-Lejuene-Fede-Clark-Ritchie
Atsu, M.Longstaff, S.Longstaff, Almiron
Carroll

That is not the team I think we should put out but it is - bar Willems and the returning Lacselles and ASM - the ONLY fit players we have and we have Chelsea 4 days later. TBH I'd go with the youngsters in this one, maybe a few of the above in there for the experience but hope we can sneak through with a very second string and not pick up any further injuries. Rochdale will be bang up for it and flying into challenges so I'd rest as many as possible.

 

The more the longstaffs play the better they'll get

 

I know nothing about Rochdale apart from their rugby team are the whipping boys ... and its the home of the co-op.

A must win in normal time please so we can get back home before midnight.

It's vital we get some confidence and feel-good around this club. A couple of wins in the cup, a few goals for some players, a couple of solid performances against lower teams would do us wonders. Three extra games - getting to the quarters - is hardly a burden. We have 12 players due back within a month, it's critical we win this match.
