I’m no great Bruce lover, but I think he did well today. Got the subs spot on. Far better position than I thought now than at the start of the season.
Think Hayden deserves a fair bit of credit today - one of the players affected by Covid, playing out of position - can't remember him getting too much wrong
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55289943 Reading this back I think it was a very good win for us today. Sounds like the virus has been incredibly disruptive to the preparation. Whoever you are playing at this level of you are not at your best it's going to be hard.
You can't argue with the results at the moment. We've got a good number of points on the board considering where we expected to be and all the recent disruptions. His job at the moment is basically to keep us in a good enough position so we can get this takeover done.
Look at you all, weak, pathetic slugs. "Oo, hes ok, he'll do" ****in pathetic. I for one have always supported the man and always wished him well
There were some good performances. Said for a while Hayden is blatantly a centre back for me, he's not good enough with the ball to be in centre of the park. He was terrific yesterday. Having someone who can move was excellent - Lascelles is getting very robotic. I still think we have major full back issues. Longstaff has definitely improved the side coming in. He's still not playing to his full potential though. Bruce obviously did well with his subs. Still the same issue for me. What's the ****ing plan Steve? It appears to be run around really hard, try to disrupt the oppo and keep the game tight. You'll win some, you'll lose some. Its pretty unimaginative. Where are the patterns of passing play? The training ground moves? What the **** they doing through the week?
Fantastic ball in. Great header by Gayle, and great movement. Murphy is still ****e and Gayle will still be injured within another 3 appearances.
Great result, well earned trough massive amounts of hard work, wasn't great but did what was needed. Wilson - didn't have a shot this weekend yet was crucial, summed up by his deliberate trip at the end and then grabbing the ball and booting it into the stand. Never seen such ****housery I've laughed at so hard in football before. Anyone doubts Hayden still? he was Fan-****ing-tastic on Saturday at CB, really held the makeshift defence together. After Wilson should be the next name on every teamsheet. Great to see Gayle back with a goal. I think that puts him on something like 4/5 goals in his last 6 appearances now. Anyone want to dig out the Wilson/Gayle partnership thread? 3/4 points vs Fulham and Leeds and we can relax a bit after Xmas as we have a hugely difficult run coming up shortly.
100% - not good enough with the ball to play in midfield. You will never progress past lower mid table if he is in the centre of the park. Its been our weakest area for about 3 seasons now with him and Shelvey in there. I still think Hayden will make a good centre back at some stage when a good manager eventually tells him to stop dreaming and face reality.
Your opinion, he is class in the midfield and if you can't see it you'll never see it. Do agree though he will be a defender in the future much like Rice at West Ham.
