It’s not looking good for Francesco Guidolin who stands at the summit of the Premier League Sack Race. The under-fire Italian can be found as short as 1/2 in the betting, with rumours rife that the Swans’ new owners - who jetted over from America for today’s game - are planning to replace him with one of Ryan Giggs, Bob Bradley or Jurgen Klinsman, and a defeat at home today to Liverpool will only now speed up this process.

I must admit I have mixed feelings at seeing Franco go, a real humble gent, if ever there was one, but reality is now setting in for me, and I just cannot see him surviving today's defeat, so on with the managerial merry-go-round it is then, who's next to attempt to sort our motley crew out?

If he goes and I do and still support Guidoline then I'd prefer Klinsman. In fact I wanted him after Monk.

I'm sticking my neck out and saying Giggs will turn out to be a very good manager.

If I had to choose it would be Marcelino García Toral. Klinsmann would be a good shout also.

I think as a club the best days are behind us now, as we are making so many chronic decisions at boardroom level, and I really do fear for the future of our club, it could have been so much better, but it all went wrong when jinx collected his Obe. ....:headbang:

Its all a bit of a worry and just a continuation of poor decisions that have been made by our board in recent times, both in the transfer market and in selecting managers. This is probably the most important appointment they have ever had to make and need to get it right. but with the 2 names listed neither I feel are right for us and neither will keep us in the PL. When the Yanks took over I was worried and it seems they are sticking their totally inexperienced oar in and wanting Bradley is quite frankly farcical. Mind you HJ choice of Giggs isn't much better.

I am with others on here and would like Klinsman but it seems that isn't going to happen.

I'd love Klinsmann but that won't happen.

That's why I want Giggs as he's the best option of the rest of those linked ie him, Yank and Zola.

Guys guys guys......how can any of you say Giggs will be a great manager? But likewise how can any of you say he won't be and we'd certainly be relegated? I really don't get it, sorry. I'd rather a tried and tested man at the helm myself, and like everyone else I'd take anyone over Bradley. I haven't seen any Klinsmann stories but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Maybe others can help with that. But Giggs is an unknown quantity and if we do get him I see pros and cons. The obvious ones:

Cons: He's disliked by many in football because of his questionable morals. He doesn't have experience as a number 1. We don't know what sort of manager he'll be - cavalier or conservative - or even downright park the bus. Does he have the tactical nous? Many players who were great on the pitch couldn't manage a team as long as they have a hole in their arse. Is he one or not?

Pros: He's a 'name'. A new broom sweeps clean. Players will put in extra effort to impress. He's respected for his footballing achievements and will attract players to the Club. He should have plenty of contacts in the game, particularly at United - we could benefit from that. He knows how players like to be handled - he's seen and done it all - and will be respected for that. You have to assume he's a fan of having width in the team. That should suit us if so.

If Giggs gets it who knows what will happen? People here seem pretty certain on both sides and I really don't know why.
