No wonder we lost today as we did not have a match day thread. What happened?

Wooperts was probably at the match today - he always goes to the home matches, and I was on a work phone call so couldn't do the honours.

When I saw the score I didn't think we'd missed much though. More has been said about the wet pitch than the game.

Gills came with a plan and it worked ! Wonder goal from striker Tom Eaves gave Craig MacGillivray no chance at all. There was a lot of surface water as 3rd eye has said, and this didn't help our cause.

Gills scored their second goal just before half time from a corner kick. Second half we immediately brought on both David Wheeler and Ben Thompson for Gareth Evans and Ben Close. We had a much improved second half, and went close through Jamal Lowe and Brett Pitman, but an actual goal remained elusive.

Today's attendance: 18,158 - not bad considering the awful weather.

Still, both Doncaster and Peterborough got well and truly "stuffed" at home, so not all bad news, as still 3 points ahead of Posh in the table.
Some strange results today in Division One.......blimey, even Argyle have won a match at last - no wonder Sensible has been on here giving it the "big one"

    Our league record so far....

    HOME - W3 D2 L1
    AWAY - W5 D1 L0

Perhaps the squad should base themselves up north during the week and travel down to Portsmouth on Friday, staying in a hotel overnight.

Pompey fans at Fratton Park to be housed at the Milton end while the rest of the ground is handed over to visiting supporters.

We'd be playing in the Champions League within 3 years <laugh>

The target should be 13 home wins over the course of the season. If PFC continue to perform like they have done so far playing away, then 13 away wins is possible. That amounts to 78 points. The way things are panning out, something like 86/7 points will get a team automatic promotion. A total above 75 is needed to reach the play-offs. And can the club put a 25m price on Lowe and Curtis. Curtis is a PL player!!!
