The actual football this season stopped being interesting a while ago. Most teams having little to play for, so i'm looking forward to the reset.

Yeah to be fair, we haven't really had any competition in the league, i do think the FA Cup should be after the last game of the season as well.

Well not involving us anyway, think our next game is July 13th. But we still have the CL and Championship finals next week, 2 Chelsea vs City games next week and an interesting summer ahead. Who will Everton, City and Chelsea get as new managers, will Laudrup, Pulis and Pardew leave their clubs, will Rooney, Nani and Anderson leave and will we sign either of Fabregas, CR7, Bale or Lewandowski. Gonna be fascinating

What the hell is that City v Chelsea game about, doesn't make any sense to me.

Not a very big fan of cricket at all but do try to watch the ashes.

You know I can't think of much I'd be less interested in watching than those games.

X Factor and Britain Got talent definitely. I think I would even watch The Voice over them though. And paint drying.

To try and convince the international market that they are big clubs.

    During the cricket season.

Yep. Wonder if they arranged them as soon as we bought RVP? Both clubs realised one of them would almost certainly be ending the season potless, so these two games will become the Oil Cup to fill that embarrassing and expensive gap in the cabinet?

Even Mancini thought it was a **** idea <laugh>

I love the no football break. It starts to get on my tits that it thinks people can't live without it for a couple of months.

'It' being the premier league and Sky in cahoots.

Be glad to not have to see or hear about the over paid over hyped ****ers for a while and watch some proper sportsmen in cricket and golfers.

  15. Can't argue with that but the summer break is an awful time of the year!

Haha cricket is no comparison for football though Ruff and whilst i play golf in the summer (fair weather golfer 100%) i dont have much of an interest in watching it. Apart from the masters and Ryder Cup of course.

Hanging out on the weekend with a football bet is a nice excuse not to be dragged out in to town by the gf as well!!

Thing is I live by the beach so once summer comes round I'm either down there or golfing.
That and three kids to occupy me.

I think to football season is too long, it does my head in by the end. It's that it starts too early really.

I won't miss it, it encroaches on the start and end of the cricket season and it pisses me off. Golf is year round anyway I suppose but the majors tend to be summer, bar the Masters.

Same for me re: the beach and summer. I think that's part of why it feels like the football season is too long - it starts in August when the weather is great and you're outside most of the day, and then ends in May when the weather is getting good again. Haven't watched a match live since the Villa game as we've been out and about so much.

Not that bothered about golf or cricket, but I have to say I rarely pay much attention to the footy season in August and September, or in May when the title is largely already decided.
