    Tomorrow is non-league day.

Ferriby are struggling financially, there's a piece in the HDM about it today. Attendances have dropped to 150 a game and they're making a loss every week. If you have nothing better to do tomorrow, get down and help them out.

Is this the result of another Allam family related mis-management ?

Wish I could be beamed back for a couple of pints on the Duke of Cumberland's front patio, followed by the short walk to the match. Are the allotments still next to the pitch ?

They sure are tc, or they were the last time I was there. Mind you it is about 10 years ago.

Nope, under Steve Forster they got to the National League.

Strange, because there were so many outraged at the move out of the village, but the attendances are around 150 a game. You'd think they'd want to go and see their team.

It was a decent game, Ferriby were outclassed in the end. Seemed to be more people there today, at least double what's been there in previous weeks.

"The Duchess of Duke Street" was a great TV series in the late 70's/early 80's. We got it over here on Sunday night TV - a must watch long standing show called "Masterpiece Theatre" which specialized in British drama series. Alistair Cook (of "Letter from America" BBC radio broadcast fame) used to introduce it every week.
Kept a lot of us ex-pats sane (excluding myself of course).

My mum used to mix up The Duchess of Duke Street & The Dukes of Hazzard.

“Hazzards of Duke Street” every Saturday tea time.

They didn’t move, they just had an idiot owner who tried to move them to Dunswell, but failed (and is no longer the owner).

Did you get a free copy of "When Saturday Comes" with North Ferriby Programme

    We did at Scarborough.

    Not bad for £2

No, they had all gone but I'll look out for it next time. They were offering vouchers for 50% off the next game which was a really good idea - be rude not to go!

Said it a long time ago...NF need to relocate...Always thought Beverley was the ideal location as it has the pop. to support a lower league club...ie National North...
