All these stories come from Liar the Turk saying that an International investor has agreed a price and are completing DD. Also that Duchatelet will be gone by June. I wouldn't believe any of these stories. If Liar the Turk said that the Sky was blue, I would get a second opinion.
This is just about right. please log in to view this image Bob Whitehand@BobWhitehand Getting close to play off time again,so all the buyers of CAFC apparently turn up again? Or did they never go away just waiting for the right price? This is bringing on a yawn again.
Soft terrorism “This is a form of soft terrorism. Everything is going well now, the club is playing well, there are no complaints and now those types are going to play 'the monkey' at the Belgian embassy in London to come and threaten me a bit. Too ridiculous for words. But they should not be worried, I am going to sell the club. Only this needs its time. Selling a club is not as simple as buying a club. "Roland Duchâtelet replies. Another cracker. What a ****ing donut.
Selling a club is not as simple as buying a club. It's a cracker. This needs its time. Yeah, two years and counting, with three parties "eager" to buy. Right.
The bit about Chris Wilder going "where he knew he would be welcomed by everyone" has the stamp of the owner, implying that the fans are to blame for Wilder's decision, rather than the reality, which was that he wanted written assurances about having control over signings, and did not trust verbal assurances.
It's good to be reminded occasionally just what a deluded old hypocrite Duchatelet is. Genuinely believes his fantasy about Wilder being scared away by a few hostile posts on a forum, and accuses fans of wanting the Club to fail. Meanwhile he won't make a sensible contract offer to potentially the best manager Charlton Athletic has had in a generation. if Charlton don't win promotion and Bowyer leaves in the summer, he won't be going somewhere else because of anything posted on a forum. He'll be gone because of the tight-fisted vindictiveness of an owner who lacks the emotional maturity of an average seven year old. In the meantime, before our fate is known and while Bowyer and his squad need to be focused on success during the next few weeks, why can't RD just shut the **** up?
Cynical liar or genuinely deluded? I'd say it's a mixture. Also a sign of the times, where Goebbals' maxim that if you repeat a lie often enough people will believe it is increasingly popular.Anyway, good to have you back, Lardi.
Thanks. I had a serious sulk on for a while, but when Roland comes out with puerile nuggets like this he reminds me I'm never going to be half as immature as he is, however hard I try. And he reminds me who the real enemy is (not fellow supporters). So best just to be my usual flip-floppy self, with the occasional hyperbolic rant thrown in for good measure. Will update my stats pages later too, and post a few more of Elf's ground-hopping pics. PS: I know somebody is collecting these oddities that RD posts on the CAFC website from time to time. One day they will make a very surreal addition to the history of the Club.
I will do my bit by not being so acerbic. I blame my Dad for being a shop steward. I have got a lot of his traits.
Mine was a commie agitator who got blacklisted and had to "emigrate" to Scotland to get work, where he did an about turn, and joined management, sort of poacher turned gamekeeper.
