I hear there was a fans' forum meeting recently. Not sure, but I gather that LDT was not there. Don't know who was representing the Club in his place. The suspense of wondering what was revealed is killing me.
Dutton says that RD has put the price up due to promotion. Sounds like the Roland we've come to know and love; says the problem is that we're in the Championship, while asking for more because we're in the Championship.
This was always a danger, us being more attractive to the buyer. A shame a nonsense value has been put on the for sale board.
I get the impression that RD is using Charlton as a weapon to attack the world of football, and the Championship in particular. Since we are now unable to compete with Scottish or Portuguese clubs for players, the future of Charlton seems to be of no importance at all to the owner. His crusade is to prove that football, not Roland, is crazy. God knows where we go from here.
Some nonsense going round about some 'hidden debt' that is holding up the take-over now. What a surprise. More S/J/C skulduggery that not-very-diligent Roland doesn't know anything about? I expect so (yawn). It's another few years under RD folks. At least he doesn't pay the bills on time.
After Wednesday's meeting surely the fans present must say enough is enough. No disprespect to the staff who attended, but they should have not been there. They are not in a position to answer questions. Where is Murray nowadays?
Perhaps this 'hidden debt' is a major cause with the delay in holding things up. I still think the Belgian wants to retain an interest in The Valley/Sparrows Lane.
Have only skimmed through the (non)sale thread on Charlton Life, but apparantly next week we could get a definitive on who will be running the show in the future. I am not holding my breath in this farce, which is really all it is.
If the Aussies don't complete by Tuesday someone else has a go. It has taken the Aussies two years to get this far. Don't hold your breath. Bring back @Royston Vasey
I'd rather wait for another option. Imagine the meltdown IF we were sold to the Australians and the Belgian still had a stranglehold on the club. @Royston Vasey stop sulking.
i personally hope we get dalman. he seems to know about football and is willing to invest. we just need a takeover soon so we dont go down RD plan A for transfers... bargain bin.
