I still fancy city over Utd, they look more solid at the back.Phil Jones just doesn't convince me he is up to it at this level.

 

Ron don't be to impressed they beat a piss poor West Ham . I don't know what price they are to be relegated but that's the value. 3/1 to win the title after one game, and I thought the bookies were ripping off racing punters.

 

If you want to be ripped off get to the Olympic stadium but quick cos there's only the men's relay left. 3 bottles of pop and 3 bags of linekers favourite potato snack - 16 fooking quid!!

 

I agree 3/1 is vey mean. We have to wait until December before they play Man C which will tell us a lot unless we've been told a lot before then

 

Slaven Bilic could well be the first manager to get the boot.I know it's only one game in but they look terrible at the back and very weak in central midfield.Was suprised they actually didnt replace him in the summer.Really like the guy and all so I hope I'm wrong!

 

Surprising how poor they were today because it's a toss up for me between them and Everton for which team has made the best pre-season signings.

 

Everton I grant you,, but the spammers? Joe hart, worst keeper in the prem, the geezer from up north whose name I can't spell who'll spend most of the season on the treatment table with his new mate Andy Carroll . Hernandez good player.

 

Don't underestimate the foxes signings, just need a tweak here and there and they can give anyone a game.

 

First table updated, to tired to be arsed doing much in the office today so thought I would do the table early; will most likely post scores on Thursdays going foward.Just to note a mate of mine decided to join however didn't register in time but text me his scores, that would be mickeybobby on 13 pts. Almost thinking about doing my fantasy football wildcard already,
five of my players didn't even play this weekend.We could have another Ronaldo situation were everybody puts Lakaku as captain every week!!

 

Not into fantasy football at all but I would never have a striker as captain. I like a captain to be driving the team forward and that has to be done from near the centre of the formation. Don't know what all the fancy positions are these days with all these formations but, in old terms, a centre half for me as captain, provided he has all the right attributes to lead. A captain has to be a natural leader who all the team respect and who can get that extra effort from the team as a whole. Strikers are best left to score goals imo. Nothing better than seeing the captain driving forward and getting up to head in an equaliser/winner - magic
