What a fine bunch of mates you all are! Thank you Townies and a Canary will sleep easier tonight for all the kind sensible words you have written.
Some things are far more important than football, for instance, try and find any Canary that has a bad word to say about SBR, my disinterest in all things Toon turned to a serious dislike at their treatment of him, that was most uncalled for! Once again, thank you all for your kind words and encouragement, very much appreciated!
An update on my problem, I have been to the surgery and have been given a referral to the urology department at my local hospital with a promise of being seen within two weeks
Wow! Talk about quick. I have just heard from the hospital and have my two appointments booked for next Monday. Urology in the morning and cystoscopy in the afternoon. Fingers crossed.
I should have charged front row prices for some tests. Just go with the flow and try to relax! You are in the best hands as we said.
Any way I can help gimme a shout and would love to be able to contribute / help in any way shape or form.
Amen Brother. I'm sure I shared this story on here years ago, however I will ALWAYS REMEMBER when in Riga - let me find the date...Saturday March 5 2011.... A friend and I decided to make the trip to Riga. With it being March, I thought it would be relatively warm by then.... WRONG. Minus 4 during the day, minus 15 at night.... LOVELY. Anyway, to cut a story short - Ipswich were away to Cardiff - the Bullard x 2, 2-0 win. We found a bar in Riga - the Kiwi bar ( best bar in the world, I stand by this to this day ) and persuaded them to put the game on. They also had a lovely promotion, buy a pint, the next 1 half price. LOVELY. So we started watching the game, me with my Ipswich town blue gloves on cheering and being happy in the quiet bar at this stage. To my surprise second half, in walked a Norwich City stag do! 20 or so lads all in yellow, and I though ' ahhhh balls of all the bars in all the world.... ' however need not have. They were a great bunch of lads and we all had a good time. They weren't too thrilled we won, but watched several games in that bar all evening and they joined us the next day for Liverpool 3...... Man Utd 0. ( My mate was a Liv fan so worked out well ) You're right though, we all support a team - have a bit of banter but there are far more important things in life at times. A few years ago I ended up being circumcised or lets just say it would have been very difficult for me to ever have kids! I'm about to turn 32 and would love to have 1 in the next 10 years - whenever that may be. If you need something doing, get it done! Managed to get dad to the doctors yesterday, he's stubborn but so happy he went.
I had my turn in theatre yesterday. No problem with the prostate but a growth the size of a golf ball in my bladder. He removed it and scraped the area. He is confident that he has got it all so just need to find out if it is well behaved or aggressive. If it is aggressive it will require major surgery. We shall see
Early intervention is the key so that's encouraging news, my Dad ignored symptoms and died but my brother survived and is doing fine, good luck.
