Says it all really that when your on your knees. You need a performance and you want your players giving their all that you at least expect some passion. Some mahoosive effort. Bookings tonight = zero

In other interesting but disturbing news. Darlow had more touches of the ball than Gayle did?

What did Gayle actually do tonight?

I'd like Gerrard or Viera over those two. Both of which the squad would have to respect as great leaders.

    Or

Chelsea went into second gear in the second half as the game was won allowing Newcastle a bit more of the ball and the game but not so that the result was ever in doubt.

Zero positives from game. Chelsea eased off second half. Everyone of those players was a disgrace.

They bottled it. How many times are we going to play the same way and get no result.

Shelvey hasn’t adapted his game at all to the modern game.

    Krafth was hopeless.

Gayle was making a point by doing nothing. He’s not bothered about playing for us.

    Carrol is clart.

Joelinton is possible the worst signing in history at that price tag.

    Lascelles was crap again.

We have to many **** players.

Krafth- The 26-year-old lost possession 16 times against Chelsea and he put his teammates under constant pressure with his poor use of the ball. He made just 18 accurate passes all game.

    That’s a pass completion rate of 53%.

Not sure about all the blame on Gayle.

He's been brought back in having played 5/10 minutes here and there in a new system to him against Chelsea.

    Shelvey, yes blame that twonk
Almiron and ASM are supposed to be the creativity but didn't create. No wonder Gayle was a passenger.

Did we play to his strengths or did we expect Gayle to buff up over night?

Maybe being harsh. But his attitude was poor for me. He wasn’t moving when we had the ball. I don’t recall him doing anything in the attacking sense. He’s playing in the premier league and there’s a certain expectation that a player knows what to do especially as he’s played for us many times before.

I did mention 6 others that had bad games mind. And when so many players are playing poor as a type of striker like Gayle I guess your relying on a bit of wuality.

ASM is a perfect example. He looks good on the eye but when your a striker making runs on off the back line you can’t do it effectively because you don’t know when the balls coming.

He just wanted to take on his man when sometimes there’s a better option.

I watched the match on recording and Gayle was sluggish but I'd expect that from a player who hasn't played.

I'll be honest our midfield and Almiron and ASM were ****.

Like I say you can't blame Gayle or say he's had his chance.

However by the time we play Wolves I would expect him to be doing things of note

The thing is now what Bruce will do is drop him and do something daft like play Fraser there against manu.

Like I say it wasn’t just him that was poor. I don’t want to hate on a nufc player but Shelvey just really frustrates me. I suppose it’s easy to point the finger when we lose but it’s so often.

I've always hated Shelvey. But as usual with our fans he may well have 2 good games in a row and they'll be ****ing over him.

Also, however much ASM comes across as a top bloke it should be Almiron who we should be looking to. In his natural position Almiron is quality. ASM is just another player who turns it on once every so often

Gayle is not useless. He's just not in the same league as Wilson

He offers nothing.. He just floats around with his arse half way up his back... He misses more than he scores too which for a poacher is terrible
