http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/...ty-defender-steven-caulker-football-8472-html Now that's more like it, him and Ned would be a fine cb pairing.
Its a shame the strikers names weren't mentioned. £8m for caulker is sensible as we could sell him if we went down and get all the money back just as Cardiff did. You don't get that with 35 year olds on stupid wages.
This would be a great signing. We certainly wouldn't be bringing in caulker/Ferdinand to put on the bench though; neither would agree to that. Demoting Onouha to 3rd choice?
I assume that's sarcasm. We need 3 very good CBs, one of them will be on the bench when they rotate. Ned could also be cover for RB so there's a chance Ned Rio and caulker would all play in the same side.
Ferdinand won't be playing 38 games, let's get that clear straight away Caulker would be a brilliant signing. Either we recoup the money if we go down or we sell him on for profit when he turns him some good performances. He's worth a few goals a season from set pieces as well
Would be amazing signing, Caulker could learn a lot from Ferdinand. Looks like we're mostly targeting british players Ince, Bryson etc
I'd like to see Max Ehmer given a run out or two, perhaps in the cup ties. At 22 its getting to the time when he either breaks through or moves on, I'd have thought.
Unfortunately, with a very real risk of relegation and all that it will cost us, i dont see this happening in the Prem TBH Shame really
That's why I said 'perhaps in the cup ties', Queens, although I see no reason why youngsters cannot make PL appearances too, mind. Don't young and inexperienced players make appearances in the PL anymore? Another thought is that given there's effectively a league within a league in the Prem, GD issues aside, why not give the likes of Ehmer precious minutes against the bigger teams and play your stronger sides against those teams you really need to take points from!
I think Rio's got 2 good years left. You guys won't go down. selling the mercenaries is a good start. I think tony's too good of a business man and knows hes gotta try to build a team rather than buy one.
I probably wasnt very clear in my reply, sorry I too personally would love to see him get a decent chance in the prem, even if it is only cup games. I just dont think Harry or TF want to take a chance on possibly dropping points or revenue, and so he will probably suffer for that. I think the younger players in the Prem are either the exceptional ones (rooney, Beckham etc) or mostly debut in the lower leagues and come up with promoted teams dont they? Im sure there is a long list o players that are going to be named now, just to prove a point !! You are aslo right though, in that its about time for him to sink or swim isnt it? He got to be tested at some stage I'd hope
