Up early this morning to watch the women's doubles badminton final as Indonesia were involved. Apparently its compulsory if I want to retain my Residence Permit. They played out of their skins to win the gold. At one stage one of the girls broke a string in her racket, dashed off court to get another, while her partner kept the rally going, and came back on to win the point. Never seen that before. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/olympics/58056117 Watch the state of her at the end when they win. Mrs just sent me this piccy of them with her cousin, who is the team doctor.
It’s already been done in this Olympics badminton tournament. Obviously, you already have history for being a fair weather supporter, so only to be expected.
Bit different though as the guy that came back on then didn't have to even play a shot - she came back in and ended up winning the point. Anyway you have certainly strengthened your position at the top of the Most Boring Poster Medal table.
What boils my piss is that the cheating Russian twats were banned.... and then allowed to compete as normal under the bullshit guise of the Russian Olympic Committee. It makes a mocker of the IOC. Imagine if I got banned for speeding... and then changed my name via deed poll and claimed a clean license. We all know they will be doping again at this Olympics.. the whole world does... it takes a few years to catch them that's all... but it just makes it comical that the IOC facilitate this charade. What kind of message does it send out to the next generation? Cheat like **** kids... and there's always away around any penalties.... don't you worry.... Sports governing bodies should hang their collective heads in shame.. ****s.

I've enjoyed watching the Olympics.. I know it's really just a celebration are rich people's children these days with the exception of a handful of events , but it's so much more honest and rewarding than football. There's been far too much chat in the studio, but overall I've really enjoyed the event.
Agree. Would have preferred more action than the chat but think BBC had given up some of the action so that next time they can broadcast more. Did get sick fed up of one constant question to the medal winners of “is there anything you want to say to your team/family/supporters?” “Yes, I won the medal” l kept thinking that’s for them in private to sort out. Let them have their moment as ultimately they are the ones who have the talent and put in the blood, sweat and tears.
Great to see is finish 4th in the medal table. Also great to see us finish about those filthy cheating scummy ruskies who shouldn’t have even been allowed to complete given they are banned. I wonder how many of their pedals will be struck off in a few years when the testing catches up….
hahaha. Ffs. anyone wanna see a bloke destroy a field… go watch what Kenny just did to a world class field. Bloke was sat with a cuppa by the time the others crossed the lines. Astonishing thing to see.
