Rashford receiving the ball in an offside position and moving with the ball between his feet clearly impacts on the defenders ability to play the ball, and Rashford makes a feint to play the ball. Ederson come across v Rashford to narrow the angle. Its so offside, its offside x3.
as the rules state benefit of the doubt .... as he never actually touched the ball he was not offside. BEEN FLOGGED TO DEATH ON THE MEDIA and decisions are split end of
Its a ****ing mental decision. Casimiro plays it to an offside Rashford who runs to the edge of the box with the ball uner his control to Fernandes who scores. Its intereferes with play because unless players stop running their still playing Man city players push up and ederson came out to Rashford who had thev ball . If Rashford stand still Man City tidy it up.Man u dont score Offside offside offside unless its City v the gas or the welsh where the goal should count double
Rashford follows the line of the ball, under control means he must do something like touch it ? he doesnt, at anytime the opposition could have kicked it away ... they dont ... Rashford is always behind the path of the ball, slows down when Fernandes catch's up and belts it home ......
I think it was SAF who once commented ‘if a player isn’t interfering with play then he shouldn’t be on the pitch’
Players taught to watch the man with the ball leaves them totally unprepared for the next move, which is always dictated by a player without the ball. Tommy Docherty
Apparently it was: https://www.azquotes.com/quote/763468 I’m sure I heard SAF say it too - perhaps he was actually quoting BC.
Meeting: (wordpress.com) IFAB guidance. Wording prevents a player in an offside position who runs towards the ball from distance being penalised unless the player gets close to the ball. Rashford was close to the ball.
I gave up ages ago more fun watching my dog chew on a bone .. she is a yorkie and the bone comes from a butchers and weighs 3 times the dogs weight!!
Seen in that in the other thread. i quite like learning stuff one thing ive learnt is that i dont know the offside rule.
Me neither, I used to, but now I don’t, it really annoys me they don’t flag immediately, Semenyo was injured Sat, when a flag immediately would have prevented it.
Earlier flags need to be implemented as continuation of a clear offside could lead to serious injury. Why don't they fit the players with GPS implants to solve the problem?
