Look i have just got home from Barnsley and like most on here feel very disappointed, the performance was poor again i know and its going to be another long week. It does not help when we all looked forward to the two previous games and they were equally poor and yes i know in playing the bottom three we have not scored a single goal but as the week goes all our spirits will lift they have to because its no good going to kc next week not believing. Its a one off game anything can happen. I do expect Watford to win but again you never know. SB has got to lift the players (not easy i know) but if your down pull yourselves together you have to, there should be a full house next week Cardiff have drawn there last three games so it is possible, we really do need a one off performance and if we are meant to go up then what will be will be. No matter how any of you feel we have no option its the last game we have to turn up give the side your full support and hope its enough if not we have the full summer to sulk but lets be as positive as we can for the final week
Look to Leeds, they will be your saving grace, all other routes are futile judging from your last few games.
It is a one off game as the guy on humberside said (mike white I think) and form, momentum doesn't matter....I don't understand that as in the back of the players minds they know they've been ****e for the last 3 games. 1 point from the three bottom teams no goals and not even looked like scoring how can they forget this? If they could they should have done it before now ffs
I think the only way to look at it is to think of this game as a cup game, we are at home backed by a full house and like i say it really is a one off, i know what you mean about the players having it on the back of there minds but how many times do teams not doing very well in the league come out and win in a one off cup performance. I know this isn't a cup game but i feel as though we have to treat it as one and been at home is our best chance of going through.
Agree with you here, no matter how the media or we as fans dress it up, calling it a one off game, saying form doesn't matter...etc is complete bollocks. Form and confidence are massive at this stage of the season when the pressure is so high, unfortunately for us both form and confidence have been absent for sometime.
The other thing is they know they aren't scoring so do you automatically try not to concede cos if they do they know they aren't getting back into it
I don't think any of us have a clue how to feel you look back and think of the games when we created chance after chance and it was with the same system, every game i thought if the other team scored we would get two, the wing backs were putting cross after cross into the box, we seemed to attack much more quickly and direct but you look at the side now and we seem to play more across the pitch and are not as direct, the build up play is much slower and i do think teams now realise if they stop our wing backs then we don't create chances. Will SB change it or will he think its not the time with one game to go to start experimenting with another system. Thats one slight disappointment i feel that there as been games were we could have changed things but all SB as done is bring on a striker for a striker ect when sometimes (Bristol) was a time to change from three midfeilders to four
Cardiff have only won one of their last 6 games, they are beatable if the players want it, this is not over yet.
3 wins in the last 12 actually. Cardiffs form has not been great at all. Bolton should have won on saturday but were quilty of wasting many chances from whats been seen and read.
Yep diouf and another, also byram out injured. I wouldn't bank on Leeds doing us any favour, probably their 2 best players are out.
