Time of the year for SPOTY, all candidates can be found at this link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/sports-personality/20467299 Who are your top three and why? Mine are as follows: 1st - Bradley Wiggins - truely amazing feat on winning the Tour-de-France, the first Brit to do so and then just over a week afterwards racing two brutal killers of racers in the Olympics. Firstly to try and assist Cavendish in winning the road race - didnt happen unfortunately and then stuffing everyone out of site a few days later in the time trial. he comes across really well, some will say it is arrogant. 2nd - Mo Farah - the first British athlete to win both the Olympic 10k and 5k double. I remember watching him complete the double in the hotel bar in Majorca. Best moment of the Olympics IMHO 3rd - I would pick Rory Mcllroy - I love the game of golf and his achievements this year have been outstanding. No 1 in the world, he won both the US and European tour money lists, Major winner (again) and a member of the victorious Ryder Cup. Any other year and this fellow would have won SPOTY hands down. I know opinions will differ, so who are yours and why?
I met Rory once.Nice lad but But Bradley Wiggins would get my vote if I could vote if you get my drift.Simply amazing feat of endurance, skill, dedication and team work.
heptathlon gold medalist Jessica Ennis exploits summed up the Olympics for me ...plus she has a smile to melt yer heart
