Were Lincoln one of those who were going to overtake us when they won all their games in hand whilst we were in a false position because of the extra games we had played? Seems points on board are the best thing to have.
FT Oxford 2-1 Lincoln. Lincoln missing a couple with Covid tonight. Plus best player Grant is cropped. Gimps looking tired according to commentator on Radio Lincs
Yea, I backed against Posh their last match to jinx 'em and same tonight against the Gimps. No need to thank me lads
Good result - another tough game for city tomorrow but they do seem to produce their best against teams that are doing well. So, fingers crossed.
Good result for us, interesting to hear that Oxford won 7 on the trot but then won only 2 of the last 10 before tonight’s game. Just shows how you can be flying then everything changes. Important for us to keep focussed, take nothing for granted and battle has though every game is a cup final, keep winning when you are top and has I keep saying Pressure the others and it will take its toll
And for that reason alone no pleasure can be taken from this result. In fact I’m hoping the efl make them play this again when the Lincoln lads are better.
It's weird how many are going on these mini runs, more so than usual. It has to be something to do with lockdown, whether absence of crowds or 'working in a bubble'.
Don’t know could be to do with lockdown but what ever the reason it’s happening however up to now over the all season we are the best, let’s hope it keeps that way. It’s now becoming a time were pressure is so important and that’s only put on others by winning your own games.
What might help all the teams bunching up behind us is if the their local press pull a rabbit out of the hat about their manager and link him with other clubs, that always helps morale. Also if the fans forums continue sniping away about their manager, wanting him sacked if he gets their club promoted, questioning his ability, tactics and interview manner. Always build up confidence that. Then work on the owners, continue to boycott anything to do with the club, don't buy anything connected to them, don't even contribute to the EFL streaming of games because the owners get every penny, and then you have the firm foundations of a promotion team. Everyone pulling in different directions. What could possibly go wrong with all those distractions bubbling away behind the scenes ?
If and and if it's a big if, our club manages to to go up in a few weeks (don't wanna jinx it). might be some fun to be had in digging out some of the most rabid, screeching, angry, pessimistic, doom-laden, armchair manager bitching of some of the know nowts on here. Will bookmark it.
Yep. Very lucky to still have a job after last season. But at what point do you stop saying " He was **** last season and I'm still awaiting his apology" and start saying " We're top of the league and he's the manager"?
I'm watching Forest Green Rovers vs Bolton Wanderers live. The commentator came up with this gem: “For a club with a vegan philosophy, that’s a meaty challenge”.
