Reality is, neither scoring a point as only happened once all season and at least one of them as been in the top three in every other race.

It's going to be a straight shootout; finish ahead of the other to become champion.

 

IMO the only hope vertsappen has now is hamilton gets blocked in quali somehow.

there are spots where literally there are walls that start creeping out and if youve a guy pinned on the outside like riakonnen who won't give up that wall is coming at him. its absolutely woeful when theres a tightening wall like that where in effect you can smash into it.

 

That's what happened to Perez but it was Sainz that was facing the wall, he moved over but Perez had a car on his right too

Never understand why they use them as 90% of them are rubbish as there’s no run off areas so any kind of crash is an automatic safety car, plus rarely leaves places for overtake as it’s so narrow.

 

Well, I wouldn't say that's his only hope. He can hope for an accidental collision, or to just beat him on track the old fashioned way.

Although this is when Hamilton is at his best, when the stakes are high and the challenge looks hard. If Hamilton went into this next race ahead he probably would have less chance to win. He does tend to get complacent at times. Worst thing that could happen to Lewis is for Verstappen to qualify badly...

 

Would say Lewis has the upper hand in that Bottas is more competitive than Perez in being able to get ahead of Max in qualifying and potentially hold him up throughout the race

 

There is so much scrutiny now he cannot afford any contact or he will be dq'd

Mercedes have a car massively quicker from nowhere so the suspicion is their engine got an unexplained and in red bulls view illegal upgrade or the wing flexes wider opening under drs or whatever

Just seen Max was given a further ten second penalty for the "brake test". So rather than finishing second and 11,secs behind Lewis, he's finished in second but 21secs behind. Well worth the effort eh..

 

its a clear draw a line under it and move on thing.

however every punishment is on verstappen. At what point is he suspended? Has to be asked.

Merecedes fail to give the message to hamilton who then parks behind verstappen. all totally unnecessary.

yet i seem to recall vettel hitting hamilton at a safety car as hamilton slows down while both are tyre warming and vettel gets punished.

but Hamilton is the first to drag out the I'm always getting punished card ad they don't like me "for some reason2 etc.

seems to me verstappen gets a 15 second penalty is silly and it should be grid penalty next race IF its a real offense.

Its all very political and scared to actually punish the guy gfor fear of wreaking the championship.

yet mercedes get one DQ for a test failure and its all march up and down screaming about some dark effort to rob Hamilton. IMO somethings gone into that Merc car and it aligns exactly with hamiltons first new engine. theres not supposed to be engine upgrades at all and yet here we are with a masive speed differential oall of a sudden.

all hamilton needs to do now is to trundle round with that speed advantage and this is all over.

Everything went vertappens way right up until he was an idiot on the first restart. once he left the track his whole race imploded. Wrong tyres clearly even though he gain initally on them (the restart cold tyres for Hamilton was more important) the pass was inevitable and then he pushes hamilton again who just backs out and merc are right onto the blower to masi screaming foul.

them masi sidelines the stewards and starts playing political games. the instructions where crap and then verstappen again does stupid things by not getting right out of the way etc trying to get drs. Its moronic and total implosion.

I can only see a red mist on the last day but hamilton will sail off into the blue imo. far far too easy when you gain 0.5 seconds from nowhere and your rival shoots him self in the foot time and again.
