There is a great positive to this team regardless of the result - and that is they have built that underlining cohesion to maintain possession. When I think about it, I think Giggs would do well with the team if he does inherit it. He would be less rigid than LVG and players would probably be more expressive. Mix that with possession play, and you could have yourself a super dynamic team.
Both Pepe and LE had extensive managerial experience. LE at various clubs in Spain and Italy, Pep with every level of Barcelona bar the first team. Giggs isn't in that position right now. I don't think Pep will keep Giggs on either.
Depdbs who you ask. So e might suggest he's not and he's merely sat their doing nothing but trying to undermine van Gaal and United. Of course those people are morons but they are very loud. He is of course learning his trade but IMO, some hands on experience, not necessarily at another club, would aid his development.
Being assistant manger of the first team and 30 years as an employee of the club is plenty to be perfectly frank. Two years at Milton Keynes Dons* would make precisely **** all difference to that.
Don't agree he's got enough at all. Players and managers are very different things. He's got two years of learning under his belt and 4 games. Not enough for me. Mk dons would be pointless as you say. A side like Swansea though? Wouldn't be a terrible choice but I would be happy for him to coach the ranks. Like Butt has done. Learning hands on.
Sadly he hasnt. As a player yes but manager? Gives has none. Being assistant doesn't mean he will make the step up. I don't need to name our previous assistants to demonstrate the point I don't think. Moyes had a decade of management in the PL and crashed and burned. United is the biggest and toughest job in the league.
Pep would be a good candidate to replace LVG. I'd be surprised if the United Board has not started thinking and looking at potential successors. I wouldn't mind pep but there would be other good candidates we should consider. I don't think he should get the job just because he says he 'd like it.
I am sure that Giggs will want the highest standards from the players but would he know how to manage a star player? He may know how to play the beautiful game but does he know how it all fits together? May he does. may he doesn't yet. Giggs needs another few years apprenticeship possibly at another club?
If Pep did happen, then the answer is yes...which in spanish is Si. And so we would have Pepsi. This is all very well but what if you like Panda Cola?
I feel honoured that when you get to something I post, you stop reading any further and seem hooked on my every word. In this instance however, I will urge you to continue reading to the second post after the one you've quoted to find the answer to that
