Ummm depends where the pic is coming from.

If it's a pic off the internet, you can link to the URL - right click on the pic, copy the image address and then use the "insert image" feature in your post.

I don't think there's a facility to upload a pic from your hard drive . If the pic is on your computer, you can however right click it and choose "copy" which will put the pic on your clipboard and then paste it directly into your post.

If you are on a phone or something it's waaay more difficult.

Open the folder in which the picture sits with File Explorer. Select "View" and "Details". This will show you two things.

Firstly, the size of the picture. If it's failing, there may be a size limit on this website, there are on most.... even my phone produces HUGE high quality pictures that are too big to post, let alone my proper camera.

You may have to shrink it. Right click on the pic and then select "Open With"... and "Paint". When the pic is open, make sure the radio button at the top is on "Percentage" and make SURE "Maintain Aspect Ratio" is ticked. Select "Resize". Select a percentage of, say, 80 (both Horizontal & Vertical figures must say 80) and go on doing that (i.e. shrinking it to 80% repeatedly) until the pic is all comfortably visible on your screen. Save it to a new file name so you don't overwrite the original and try to post the new smaller picture.

Secondly, File Explorer in Details mode will show the file type. It's probably either a .jpg or a .png. Both of those should be OK but if it's something else, then you may need to convert it if the website is to accept it. You can use Paint for that too. Just open the picture in Paint and then select "File Save As". That will allow you to select an acceptable file type.

If you can't upload directly to the site from your hard drive, try putting it up on the internet and inserting the URL with the Image button at the top of the post. www.tinypic.com is a well known image hosting site.

Your right I am a little tired....spent Wednesday down Sheffield Park Gardens (no it's not in Yorkshire)....National Trust place in E Sussex and we took our sarnies with us, so we did have a picnic in the end....Mrs Plym doesn't like the motorways so I have to plan a route through B roads....which worked out quite well in the end...we crossed over the M25 at one point and it was three solid lanes of stationary traffic as far as the eye could see....felt rather smug about that.

It's USER names BC rather than nicknames. We can say what we like without being tracked down by the FEDS and punished. Well almost. My real names is Maurice but if you tell anyone else I will have to fly out to BC and remove you.

Tell you what BC, when I have to ask how to do this or that computing wise I often don't get it even when I'm told. It can get as low age wise as a grandaughter who is 10 years old at the youngest end. Anything starts with "it's easy grandad/dad/stupid, all you have to do is.................." and that's me finished. My brain, or what's left of it just goes walk-about and I only get "mumble, mumble, yaddy-ya". I just nod at the end of the speech and say "I'll do it later thanks".
