The boys looking quality bit of a rough diamond but he’ll get more polished the more game time he gets

As I said in the match day thread, I'm over the moon Mogga went with the Neil Ekwah combo. Great to watch and cannot wait for Saturday.

The minutes he's had have definitely sharpened him up because i thought he seemed a bit slow to react to things at first.

some dodgy moments when first introduced (expected) then i noticed how he got himself space with the ball, usually to run forward but also to give himself that little more time for a pass, intelligent runs into the box...still room for improvements but looking very good.

He looked like he wasn't match fit the first few outings, but he was outstanding at Preston.

We have one very good player who looks like he is going to form a formidable partnership with Dan Neil in the middle of the park.

Brilliant work by the scouts and recruitment team once again.

Don't write off Ba either, this kid is going to be some player for us, so pleased he's on a five year contract.
Perhaps he's took a little longer than others to settle in but get a pre season into him and we've got some real competition for places and that's before the transfer market opens.

Ba will probably develope into a more forward player rather than a central midfielder

Credit to Mowbray giving him a start after the penalty gaffe. If he’d taken him out who knows what that would have done for his confidence and where he’d be.

This all day long. Can just see TM putting a arm around his shoulder saying don't worry about it and telling him he is starting next match as he trusts him etc...

Most managers wouldn't have started him, most managers don't have time for getting these young lads in the team giving them time to settle and get some experience etc... TM seems to be great at it and that's one of the main reasons he is the right bloke for us right now!

Considering he's started less than ten games of professional football, you have to wonder what is going on at West Ham, that they didn't even think he was worth a try. Ditto Alesi.

I think a part of it is these lads have the attitude that they want moves. They aren't content sitting at (insert name of premier league club here or abroad) telling everyone they are a professional footballer at a top division club while only getting time with u23's. These lads have the attitude they want to play and they are willing to take a step down in terms of clubs league position to start to play gorst team football (of course on that side they are making a huge step up going from u23s to first team in championship).

The attitudes of the players we are going for now is night and day compared to under Short and dare say right up there with best we have ever had!

Tbf, West Ham have Thomas Soucek and Declan Rice in that position...
