Name your player and young player of the year.

Also player ratings out of 10 and stuck why you gave that rating in there and what needs to change if you like.

    Player of the Year. Macallister
Young Player of the Year. Bradley

Allison 8.5/10 solid as usual but a few injuries that we can do without.
Kelleher 8/10 best reserve keeper in the league I hope he stays. Stepped up and doesn't get rattled when he makes an error.
TAA 7/10 seemed forever injured and took time to get going again.
Robbo 7/10 injuries again which is a bit of a theme but the effort is there whenever he's back.
Tsimikas 5/10 his worst season with us, looked dodgy when he was given a rare opportunity.
Bradley 8/10 strapped into big shoes and took his opportunity.
Gomez 7.2/10 seemed more solid at RB and had a decent season, another one we need to keep as cover.
Quansah 8.2/10 wow, we could have a worldie on our hands.
Konate 7.2/10 great at times but a few tricky moments, needs to improve and stay fit.
VVD 8.6/10 almost back to his best.
Endo 7/10 good signing but at times teams target him and he doesn't react well. Probably need a better player in that position but he'll be good back up.
Macallister 9.2/10 great season, everything we need in a midfielder. POTY.
Gravenberch 6.1/10 there might be a player in there somewhere in not sure though.
Jones 7.1/10 had a period when he seemed to understand his job and did it consistently but then injuries happened.
Elliott 8.2/10 forgot his way into the team and was our super sub, looks like he had a big future.
Dom 7/10 great start but faded looking forward to season 2
Salah 7.2 injuries and strops, not sure if we should cash in.
Gakpo 6.8/10 good end to the season but it took him a while to get going.
Diaz 7.6/10 were need end product to match his effort.
    Nunez 6.9/10 **** knows
    Jota 7.5/10 stay fit FFS.

Lots of new and young players and we were there right up to the end. Looking forward to seeing this squad next season with more understanding.

Could have been Virgil, but I'll go with Mac Allister. Once he got away from the DM role.
Could have been Bradley, but I'll go with Quansah.

    The rest is too hard.

    Player of the Year. Macallister
Young Player of the Year. Elliot

Allison 8/10 Always dependable shame about th einjuries this season
Kelleher 7.5/10 did very well covering Allison do feel a couple he let in Allison would have saved.
TAA 7/10 Would look to be getting to his best then get injured again.
Robbo 7/10 More consistent this season but injuries hampered his season.
Tsimikas 5/10 Usually a reliable cover but was a liability this year .
Bradley 7/10 shined when given a chance shame we didnt see more of him this year.
Gomez 8/10 Solid whichever position he was chucked into would be a starter for most teams below us.
Quansah 8/10 Great first season done well would say he is ahead of Konate at the moment.
Konate 6.5/10 Seems to struggle for fitness and never been sold on him to be honest has a couple of good games but has quite a few mistakes in him
VVD 8/10 Better this season but no as formidable as he once was.
Endo 7/10 good professional and full of energy lack of speed is his only hinderance.
Macallister 9/10 in an advanced role he has been our best player but when playing in DM he has'nt been great hopefully we can get a proper DM in the summer.
Gravenberch 6/10 I just don't know what he is he has talent but no real position. He is not a forward and he is not really a midfielder maybe Slot can find a position for him.
Jones 6.5/10 When he gets a consitent run of games you can see he has talent and looks like he fits but suffers from injuries (seems a theme this season) and takes a long time to get back up to speed.
Elliott 8.5/10 In my opinion deserved more game time always seems to have energy and has a eye for a pass.
Dom 7.5/10 first half of season 5/10 second half of season looked a real talen to begin with got injured in January and never looked the same player hopefully more consistent next year
Salah 8/10 first half of season 4/10 second half of season, Although not scoring at the rate he has previous seasons his assists and link up play especially with Nunez was very good until January. Then after that he has been poor, Can't beat a man, Shooting all over the place and struggles with simple passes sometimes but does still have the odd glimpse (like one pass yesterday)
Gakpo 7/10 had a slump mid season but one of our better attackers at the end of the season another one that doesnt really have a set position he is not really a central striker and not a winger either.
Diaz 7/10 Runs his ass off and has incredible skills but lacking end product.
Nunez 6/10 You can see there is a player there just needs to put more away
Jota 7.5/10 Best finisher we have but can't stay fit.

A few mentions Doak looked promising to begin with but never really shone in the Europa league outings he got. Clark looks a solid player maybe a loan to a higher championship team will do him good

    POTY - Alisson
Solid again and makes saving shots look so easy. Worry that our defensive record this year was pretty poor and dread to think how bad would have been without him.

Young player - Quansah but Elliott just behind. Been massively surprised by Quansah and looks a proper talent. A few more years alongside vvd and if he can bulk up a bit could be a player for next 10 years. Silky on the ball.

Elliott also been great. Just didn’t get enough game time middle of season which was off as was always making an impact. Think was 10 assists in prem? Not bad going.

Ali - 8.5. Best keeper in world. No question.

Kelleher - 8. Did nothing wrong and won us a cup.

Taa - 6.5. Average year for him not helped by injuries

Bradley - 7 stepped up well and didn’t look out of place.

Konate 6.5. Started season well but faded towards end with couple poor games. Injuries not helped.

    Quansah 8. Brilliant first season.

vvd - 8. Back somewhere near his best.

robbo - 6.5. Average year for him

tsinikas - 5.5. Not great when called upon

Gomez - 7.5. Solid everywhere he played. Arguably best season for us when got run of games.

    Endo - 7. Did a job

Gravenberch. 6.5 - needs to find a spot and role. Some promising stuff in first season though

jones - 6.5. Started well injuries towards end ruined a decent season

Max - 8.5. With Ali best player but faded during our bad run and looked knackered and lost impact.

szobo 6.5 - started well but 2nd half impact disappeared. Expected more.

Eliott - 7.5 should have played more - big impact when playing.

Diaz - 7. Solid enough but needed more output

gakpo - 7 drifted but made impact in last few months

nunez - 7. Scored goals. Got assists. But just no where near consistent enough. Could have been an 8 and poty if he’s converted even 4/5 more of those key chances in games.

salah 7. Hard one, stats wise has a good year but last 3 months or so performance level been poor in comparison compounded by his awful last touch of the season when through on goal.

Jota - 7. Brilliant when played. Missing for huge parts of season.

Koumas / danns / Nyoni / Clark / Mconnell - 10/10. Helped us win the cup and couldn’t do anymore.

    POTY MacAllister
    YPOTY Quansah

Szob first third of season looked a steal at just £60m but looked worth about £6m in last third.
    Tsimikas needs binning pronto
Nunez passed the point that the finishing cannot be excused .Last chance saloon if still here next season which i think is doubtful atm

    Elliott really impressed this season
Gakpo became a very useful squad player
Endo did a reasonable job in difficult circmstances
Bradley made a very good impression though his defensive work needs improvement but that applies to lots of the team .
VVD faded slightly late in the season but imo his best season since the injury .

For me this is a reason season of two halves type of thing.

Like salah would be a solid 7 to 7.5 for first have and about a 4 at most second half.

Nunez did better first half of season and has utterly fallen out of favour.

id agree that over the course of the full season vvd and macca would be contenders for poty as seniors.

I'd say Bradley for young poty with quansah just behind as Elliott has too many games under his belt.

Sorry trent but the second Bradley got in I enjoyed the football more. Time to move trent to a new position.

POTY = Alisson; outstanding when available and despite Keheller playing well, we still missed the big man. The only true undeniable world class player we now have.

Special mentions for VVD (runner-up) who has been great and AMC (third) who has had done superb spells.

YPOTY = Harvey Elliott. Nothing to add, he's been superb.

    Youth breaking through...
Really though between Quansah and Bradley but got to give it, Quansah. I think both are destined for great things but Quansah looks good enough to eventually take over from VVD imo
