Ok based on this that young people are naive....................????? as most young people voted to stay in the EU does that mean they were as naive to vote for that too according to your reckoning?????
Twisted logic. Besides I'm sure you understand the EU question is cross party Lib Dems and Greens excepted. Also age doesn't mean wise or sensible as can be seen on these pages.
It's thinking such as this that has got us into this mess. If Blair was in charge do you think Boris would have got a look in? It's the Labour left with their liking for no bread in preference to half a loaf that has landed us with Bozza.
Split the two numbers - Gives you 1.83. Divide that into 100 = 54.6 That means that there's a 54.6% chance of a GE this year. Loads of academic papers to back up the claim that Betfair odds reflect the true probability of something happening. Vin
It would seem strange going into an election post 31 October. That would mean an election at the fag end of November, and I am not sure if that benefits anyone. Labout voters might stay at home due to the weather, elderly and frail voters of whatever persuasión would be disinclined to go out and vote, so it would have to be before 31 October, before Brexit is even done and dusted. It would help the Government to delay the Brexit date yet again, something that Macron doesn´t want. So can´t see it. Likely date would be May next year.
The idea of Labour voters staying at home because the weather is bad dates back to the days when they didn't have cars. But I think the timing of any election will more likely be down to Boris being brought down by a vote of no confidence. A lot of Tories have nothing to lose because the metastasising cancer that is the ERG have worked to deselect people like Grieve, Rory Stewart. And Phillip Lee.
Can we get Grieve to stand in Southampton Itchen as a Conservative, dumping that odious squirt, Royston Smith?
Yeah, the 'weather' excuse is somewhat traditional and outdated. In my opinion, the reason for a whole swathe of traditional labour voters to stay at home is because their perception is there is nothing for them to vote for anyway. Their perception is that they are basically excluded whichever way they vote, so what's the point? And there is a big fat grain of truth in that. In order for Labour to appeal to enough of the electorate to be voted into power they must play down their traditional working class roots. Otherwise the right-wing press will turn on them far harder than they otherwise would anyway. And we know how easily uninformed people are swayed - and if you don't know that by now, look at the world you live in. It's not exactly geared towards YOU is it. Just a select elite.
Young impressionable people who are being schooled in muddying what is morally and ethically right and wrong. There is plenty of room for young people to grow up doing what they want to do - but provided they don't hurt and they don't abuse others, and they don't break the law. The video of those young people getting schooled in ridiculing others, before they even have a clue of what their stance is, is totally unhealthy.
So all the left wing sites getting money from Soros is OK , even the Young Turks sold their soul to 3L venture to raise 20 million, they will not condemn the violence of Antifa and are named after a group responsible for genocide. This group is seen as a threat because it gives a voice to young black ex Democrats, Candace Owens, brandon Tatum,Chad Williams Owen have become known people to the black community thanks to Turning point, also movements like Young Black Conservatives, Blexit and Walkaway have their beginning tied with Turning point. Not one group says you must vote for Trump, but question the Democrats that promise milk and honey to the black community but deliver piss and vinegar. They also have Turning point UK, which if you watch is mainly hosted by young black people
Badger, why do your links take an age to appear and sometimes not at all? It's like it always is the case. Hopefully, you are just copying and pasting your links to here, cos if you're using this site's ancient linking software, that would account for it. OK, it has appeared now. Stand down, and thanks. BTW, I know this reporter/presenter. I consider him a reasonably trusted source.
