Match Day Thread Pompey v Barnsley

I have always thought the saying "you make your own luck" was a little trite but this Pompey side is making me revise my thinking.
Time and again they have got points from games this season where they have come from behind - often when they have not been in good form.
On reflection this is perhaps the essential ingredient of a promotion side - you can't be at your best every week so getting something out of your lesser games is needed to build the points tally.
Not losing to any of the top six sides is a telling statistic. In previous play-off, or near play -off, campaigns our record against the top clubs has not been good.
There are many players in the current squad that deserve the opportunity to test themselves in Championship football so I hope the end of season culling is not too brutal.
In the meantime, hopefully we can enjoy some free-flowing football against Wigan and Lincoln.
