So this is the third of the 3 home games a season (Chelsea Spurs and Arsenal) that the bubble blowing surrender monkeys actually put any effort in to. Arsenal will start Giroud and Wilshere as the fear that both will join West Ham in the January window...I can see why too...great stadium, brilliant owners and a top top manager West Ham plan to continue with the Moyes tactics of running around a lot and kicking anything and anyone into the stands. Failing that they will break out their nipple clamps and dildos in the hope that Andy Carrol pretending to be a plumber will get Arsenal so worked up that they will stroke the wrong ball around the pitch. By the way...is it true that this is live on Babestation tonight??? Andy Carrol used to be a footballer as did Joe Hart but Noble was always a goby twat who some how made a living from the game despite being the only footballer on earth that makes Sissoko look like Pele. Easy win for the goons as West ham are **** and Moyes makes Christian Gross look like a tactical magician
disappointing performance and result. Wilshere played well I thought. We offered little going forward; I dont think the team selection was right.
Fell asleep watching that pile of ****e. We are such a ****ing boring team, as well as being bang average.
Holy ****. We are just so boring to watch. Below Burnley in the ****ing league? **** off Wenger. Take away Everton and we've scored 4 goals in 8 away games. ****e. Every. Single. ****ing. Season.
its incredible that we are only 1 point outside top 4. I still think we can make it this season; but we really need to do something to reinvigorate this club in the summer.
We're closer to 20th than we are to 1st. Good job we have Wenger though as is often repeated on here, not many could achieve that feat with our transfer and wage budget.
I know, somehow we've managed to keep track of the others (bar City) without being very good ourselves. I'm really concerned about our inability to score at the moment though, we seem to be so laboured in front of goal and our defence has always got at least one calamitous mistake in it per game. We nearly threw it away tonight.
Slightly disingenuous comments seeing as City are 11 points ahead of the 2nd placed team. We're closer to 2nd than we are anywhere near the bottom.
11 posts and TWO likes for my match thread .... you tight bastards So much for the season of good will Feck the lot of yer Gonna be a nail biting race for 4th spot imo...some of you lot are throwing the towel in way too early. We will lose to city on saturday...burnley and liverpool will drop points along the way to. Only 1 point separates spurs in 4th and arsenal in 7th.
Looks like the league is following a similar pattern, one team decides to play good consistent football, where the rest just play good when they feel like it. Arsenal had one of those forgettable days and then they'll play good football again. We're still in the their for CL football. Liverpool and Chelsea don't look convincing at all. It will go down to who plays the ****iiest the least amount of times. I do hope we focus on the Europa, as it would be a good trophy to get, not the mythical top 4 cup.
I think we have as much quality as some of the best teams in this tournament, and over two legs, we have a very good chance. The CL and league are out of our level but Europa is a realistic target.
Atletico, Dortmund, Napoli and Milan are the only other teams that should have a chance against us. Of those Atletico and maybe Dortmund are the only two who I'd rather avoid until later in the competition. We still probably have the highest European coefficient unless that's atletico so we are probably one of two (maybe3) favourites in the competition. And if they mess up we might not even play them on route to the final. I think we have a very good chance of winning the europa this season and I really hope we take it seriously now that we are out of the group stage. We aren't going to win the league this season, so i'd like us to be in the top 2-4 if possible but mainly go all out for the cups! (Obviously if we don't win the europa the top 4 is important).
Naturally, I agree with you and I would like us to take the cup competitions seriously, especially the Europa as we are still one of the favourites to win it + we can get CL football that way. However, Wenger's contempt for the competition is no secret and it all depends on how seriously he takes it. I highly doubt he's going to field a full-strength side against Ostersunds in R32, for example. Assuming we get past the L16, and factoring how we may do in the other cup competitions, the fixture list will pile up. Wenger's always maintained that the league is his priority, so it really does depend on whether he wants to gamble on us potentially dropping down the league in the hope that we win the Europa. I suppose we will have to wait and see, but personally, I would love a good cup run in a European competition. The last time we had one was in 2009 when we got the semi-finals of the Champions League. That was a long time ago now.
