So now our 'fixturus horribilis' is out of the way we can anticipate some much better results between now and the end of the season with some more optimistic predictions, perhaps. Actually, if you take away the losses to the runaway top four and the first-half mauling at Bournemouth, there have been some decent results in there since just before Christmas: Swansea 2 Preston(8th) 1 Coventry(9th) 2 Swansea 2 Swansea 1 West Brom(5th) 0 Hull(6th) 0 Swansea 1 Sunderland(10th) 1 Swansea 2 Let's see how we get against these five below: Saturday 2nd March CHAMPIONSHIP Swansea City 15:00 Blackburn Rovers Wednesday 6th March CHAMPIONSHIP Watford 19:45 Swansea City Sunday 10th March CHAMPIONSHIP Bristol City 12:30 Swansea City Saturday 16th March CHAMPIONSHIP Swansea City 12:30 Cardiff City Friday 29th March CHAMPIONSHIP Sheffield Wednesday 15:00 Swansea City Predictions must be posted ON THIS THREAD ONLY by 14:59 GMT (UTC+0) on Saturday 2nd March 2024. We need the total number of points gained in the 5 Championship games, the total number of goals scored in the 5 Championship games and the total number of goals conceded in the 5 Championship games. Good luck!
Ok, so here's a reminder of March's results: Swansea 2 Blackburn 1 Watford 1 Swansea 1 Bristol City 1 Swansea 0 Swansea 2 Cardiff 0 Sheffield Wednesday 1 Swansea 1 I make that: 8 points, 6 goals scored, 4 goals conceded. The bunched-up chart for March looks like this: Points scored as follows: Aswan_dam 1+1+3=5 Taffvalerowdy 3+0+0=3 Nicewelshlumberjack 5+1+0=6 Glamexile 5+0+0=5 Neveroffsidereff 3+1+1=5 Daimungeezer 3+1+0=4 55282 1+3+0=4 Swantastic 1+5+1=7 So this month's winner is Swantastic with 7 points - a first ever win? Well done to you. In second place was Nicewelshlumberjack with 6 points. Revised league table to follow shortly.
Revised league table as follows: Neveroffsidereff pulled one point back on our leader, 55282, in March but 55282 still goes into the final month of the competition with a healthy 6 point lead. Can he hold on to take the title?? Tune in next month to find out!
I remember many moons ago going to Edinburgh for the rugby. We went yo Mussleburg races, we did to usual team bet where we all chipped in a tenner. Anyway one race on had three horses running, and we had a few results in so bet looking good. So the race starts and the reality was our horse was in second place miles behind the favourite Bobby Stack, as Bobby goes over the last hurdle, I shout out fall you bastard, and on command Bobby goes flying. Our horse eventually gets to the last hurdle cleared it just about, then nearly stumbles around the stricken rider to then claim the win. Needless to say we’re happy and at the end of the meet, the winnings paid for our drinks all night and a curry. So, you might hear me shouting “Fall you bastard”, before the season ends.
Millwal could be a relaxing high scoring game now weve nothing else to gain this term unless thier in holiday mood already ?
