Something to pass the time between matchday threads and ongoing transfer sagas

So let's get the ball rolling with our match against Reading earlier today

    1-0 (Edwards, assist by Oduwa)
    2-0 (Edwards)
    3-0 (Miller, assist by Oduwa)
    4-0 (Harrison)

Certainly an improvement on our opening PL2 match...

Edwards looking sharp. Keeper didn't even move for the first one.

Longer footage from Reading's Youtube account:

A number of notable omissions, but that's an awful scoreline:

Our youth system looks like it needs to be addressed, after a number of very good years.
Ehiogu hasn't been getting very good reports, McKenna's gone to Man Utd and we're losing heavily to our old youth coach.
Time to get Clive Allen back, perhaps? Given that he's not doing much, perhaps we should bring Hoddle in?

Doesn't Ledley work with the youth set-up in some capacity? Think he was doing part time with the U-18s or U16s if I remember rightly. Perhaps promote him to Ehiogu's position, he knows the game and club to a T, or have him work alongside someone like Allen who's a good shout. Chris Ramsey could also be an option, he's a 'technical director' at QPR, not sure if there's ill feelings towards us when he left but if not, he was always highly respected around the club for the work he done.

Just checked, Ledley is assistant manager to the U18's, although the club still states Kieran McKenna is the U18s manager so not sure if it's still accurate and if any roles have changed since his departure.

Here's the entire game, if anyone wants to watch it and assess our official version of events:

Descends into something verging on a brawl, which isn't a good sign.
