Manchester united needs to win their next two games against Everton and Manchester city, otherwise nothing to fight for, the season is over.
It's so funny they'll have to have a real go at citeh. They were always going to have to as there was no way they were getting through last night.
I don't think it matters, the bubbles burst and the wheels are off. Man Utd will no longer be applying the lube but Man City will just go for a straight forward raping instead.
First there's Everton. What do they do? #rollover to Man Utd so Man Utd can afford #rollover to Man City? Or beat Man Utd so their top 4 hopes are finished and they can #rollover to Man City?
G.Neville suggested Man Utd will look to test players against Man City if they beat Everton because Chelsea are the bigger game for their top four prospects and they've got four games in eleven (?) days do need to manage the squad. One question; what as the outcome of the Everton game got to do with it?
How can Man Utd be expected to compete in 1 competition with just the 2nd most expensive squad in Europe? Drop points against Everton and they're all on the beach anyway #seasonover
Our game against Cardiff is not going to be easy because Neil Warnock is going to come with spanners.
TBH you are probably right. IF spurs draw to city i'll be happy its in our hands again. If utd drop points to everton they will be ****ed. they are behind and playing catch up with 4 or 5 to go.. they won't be able to from where they are probably.
For me only garry neville would be that stupid and biased. It patently obvious form the table that utd cant afford to play rest-a-by-baby with their precious darlings now. Utd are 2 points off arsenal in 4th with 5 to play. If you write off a game then you are asking arsenal to at the very least draw 2. the Gd is very similar but arsenal still have the advantage. So Utds "ideal" is lose to city 0-1. right that gets LFC title off their plate. The problem is then that arsenal could well be at 5 points clear with 3 to play at that point. so.... yeah not a good plan IMO. Idelay for us all spurs and Liverpool and arsenal all win at the weekend then if utd have won as well they are still 2 points behind with only 4 to play. arsenal play palace at home this sunday. utd play everton at goodison.... not easy...
If you look at the bottom the reality is: Cardiff V liverpool (sun) wolves v brighton (sat) Fulham v cardiff brighton v newcastle cardiff v palace arsenal v bighton man utd v cardiff Brighton v man city We only care about one game here. Our game is AFTER the brighton game. If brighton fail to show v wolves then I think looking at the last 3 ... I think cardiff might fancy a run at fulham and palace for 6 points. I can see form here warnock parking the bus. I really can see it and looking for a set piece or whatever. I expect a) long grass b) dry pitch c) bribed PGMOL ref to just not hate on warnock. d) hositle crowd If this game were at anfield i'd expect a 4-0. As its at thiers i can see a lot of tactics being employed I think 7 points out of fixtures will be more than enough for cardiff. Brighton have sleep walked for a month and have walked themsevles into a total disaster.
Yes, chelsea will be in europa final and have already played a game more than the rest. I get the point that utd can get more points off chelsea easier than off city but the fact remains they need to win both for top 4. OGS statement with 6 to go that 5 wins would do it looks more and more stupid by the day. Its highly likely utd will finish 6th... good job I couldn't bring myself to take those big odds the day OGS took over cos at one point he was looking very likely.... now they just look like he's lost his way and forgotten what got him where he had been. a) pick real full backs b) never ever pick jones and smalling c) play 2 no 6s (matic on bench last night,... for fred) d) indulge pogba e) play 3 fast lads up top. it really is bloody simple when you've talent to pick from.
