First game back in the CL proper and no match thread. I'll have to do one then, hopefully it won't turn out like the last. After the scintillating second half performance against Liverpool I would say it's got to be as you were, with Young replacing Depay on the left and Martial replacing Fellaini up front. Rooney still injured so that has to be so. I say we win, 2 nil or 2-1, and get us off to a decent start.
It would make sense to start with the winning formation we had on Saturday. That first half was really dire. LVG has to let his players take some more risk otherwise we will have many 0-0. We won't be playing the RS every week. Depay had a terrible first half. Having said that, Depay has done well in the CL (quals) so far. So LVG will put him back in. Rooney is off so I can see Fellaini coming in in his place so as not to put to much pressure on Martial. I am keeping my fingers crossed he'll start with the youngster though. 2-0 to United. Depay
From the club website -team v PSV: De Gea, Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Shaw, Schweinsteiger, Herrera, Mata, Memphis, Young, Martial. Subs: Romero, McNair, Rojo, Valencia, Schneiderlin, Carrick, Fellaini.
Love the line up. 4 2 3 1. I assume so anyway. Herrera in a pair with the mighty Schweinsteiger. We'll no doubt be poor.
A good solid defence, strength and experience in midfield and plenty of pace up front - really looking forward to this game - I actually fancy a good away win for us tonight with plenty of goals.
Very good line up. Young on the right? -------------------DDG Darmian----Smalling----Blind-----Shaw -------------Herrera----Schwein Young------------Mata------------Depay ------------------Martial Would love to start off with a win but would be happy with a draw. I have a feeling PSV will give us a little too much respect to begin with, first 20 mins or so.
From what I have seen of PSV they don't do 10 men behind the ball like Liverpool, there should be space for us to create. They have found a replacement for Memphis though, and he looks very dangerous.
Yeh I'd agree with that. But I don't think they'll attack from the off. I reckon they'll be a lot more measured to begin with in their build up. United to press and win the ball and hit them on the counter?
We certainly have the players in the team to counter. Our problem has not been how fast the players move though, our problem has been how fast the ball is moved.
Great line up. Hoping for an entertaining game. On a side note, I hope BT go under. Have you seen their prices? £20 a month and £27 to activate it.
Bollox to them. I'm fcking off Sky as well. Had enough of wasting my money. I'm going underground and getting my kicks for free.
I am hoping Martial and Depay and Young will change that tonight. Having a young striker who's up for it, and as a focal point for our attacks, will help. I hope at least.
Sky's already cancelled. Keep internet when I novee and waiting for fibre to be installed then going down the kodi/dodgy box root. Was paying £97 a month for sky, BT wanted an extra £20. Go **** themselves. Oh and tonights games will have the lowest everbtelebised audience for champions league games IMO. Unless they count the streamers ha
I'm paying around that including broadband etc for my Sky. When the fck did I think that was normal. I had to wait until after the Livpl match tbh, but fck em. If that's true then whoever gave it to BT massively shot themselves in the foot. TBH it's always been Sky + one other channel (ESPN, BT). By giving it to BT, they've hammered a death knell into Sky and ruined the CL viewing figures. Anyway I need a link
Struggling for one myself. On my 4mb beasternet nothings working. Would usually be watching a near HD arena vision stream by now but needs a good connection. BT the dickheads didn't think many people would need fibre, so didn't put enough capacity.
