QPR boss makes Puncheon admission JASON Puncheon is going to have to do a bit more to get into QPRâs team, according to Neil Warnock. The on-loan winger from Southampton was signed on transfer deadline day amid a flurry of last-minute deals, but has so far been restricted to just on appearance off the bench against Newcastle at the beginning of last month, and not featured on the last two subs lists. Puncheon played in the 2-2 reserves draw with Tottenham on Tuesday, but Warnock admits he is spoiled for choice in the centre of the park. âJasonâs working hard but he hasnât had many matches," said the manager. "Heâs got a difficult job with Shaun Wright-Phillips there and Jamie Mackie coming back. "Heâs really got to force his way into my thoughts. At the deadline I thought he was worth a gamble until Christmas.â Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest QPR news.
Seems like a pointless signing if he's not going to play. I thought he done ok for Blackpool last season.
For the price range we're looking at, no club is going to let go of the player without a fight....be prepared for more panic signings in Jan.
"I thought he was worth a gamble until Christmas". Always fun gambling with someone else's money Neil.
Colin boo boo!s are getting bigger Hill Gorkss Hogan Handling Adel See what he buys in Jan then sack him
As much as we all like Hill and Gorkss, they are too slow for this level and £900k for Gorkss was good business. He's been disappointing for Reading. Ephraim was a tough one but, again, is he really worth a place in the squad when Smith, Buzsaky, Puncheon and others are back-ups in his position? I think Warnock has handled Taarabt quite admirably and he's been playing reasonably well. If you're honestly suggesting he should be sacked then I think you're a moron. Who exactly could we attract to do a better job?
It's no big deal, Puncheon's only on loan for another couple of months. Will at least provide cover until then, & if it doesn't work out, he'll be off back to the south coast.
In the short time Mackie was on the field against Fulham, he looked more like scoring than anyone else. He can't come back too soon. Haven't seen enough of Puncheon to form a fair opinion
Ephrain was not even good enough for the championship never mind the premiership to inconsistant for me wont be missed,i know gorks was slow but would have been a good back up always played his heart out.
thats my opinion mate, obviously you disagree. I personally believe Mackie hasn't got what it takes for the Prem and will be well off the pace, even when fully fit. I really hope he proves me wrong though, I really do, he's 100% dedicated to the team and you can tell he's got a sense of pride wearing the shirt, which is more than you can say for some of the others around him.
I think we should buy Nani from Man U. He couldn't even get a start today. At least we'll give him a game every week.
