Apologies if not worth a new thread but I tend to take the view that any little bit of hope re progress on this front is worth knowing and welcome.

I'm wondering if Brexit could change things. Property developers have been hit and are being cautious.

 

And they have already cancelled building one HS2 station up in Sheffield.

I really do hope that this happens for us, but prefer to cocoon myself in doubt to avoid disappointment.

 

Hope they do OAP reductions on ticket prices because we'll all qualify for those by the time it gets built......

What's the smallest size pitch allowed by regulations? That's the only way to put a couple more rows in, smaller pitch...

Was just about to say the same, I personally can't see HS2 going ahead due to a period of austerity, which could of been avoided but those leave clearly don't understand how the markets work.

 

..... So incorrect. Just read about the amount of companies fighting over the contracts. That line is a classic:

Mock all you want mate, I've seen first hand on the floor the panic that has set in, not to mention I'll also have to front up more readies for a euro when I go on holiday in September.
