Sunderland visit Queens Park Rangers in the Sky Bet Championship Last time out Sunderland lost at home to Villa and QPR drew with Derby. The Black Cats will be without suspended Jake Clarke-Salter, and Ty Browning is out for the rest of the season after suffering a groin injury. John O’Shea is also unlikely to be available after being replaced against Aston Villa. Sunderland will look to bounce back from a lack lustre midweek performance at the Stadium of Light. QPR will assess forward Idrissa Sylla, who has been out for five weeks with a calf injury. Defender Grant Hall (knee) and forwards Jamie Mackie (back) and David Wheeler (ankle) are out. Chris Coleman: "My focus is on QPR, getting us into a situation where we have a positive frame of mind as we continue this relegation fight, and we do that by getting a win." “I have just got to make sure they keep believing, but as low as it is, as hard as it is, with 10 games to play we are still only four points off. The teams around us are losing but that won’t last forever." “Our future is still in our hands somewhat. That is what we have got to hang onto, but the games are running out of course. There are 30 points to play for, we are four adrift, we have got to make sure by hook or by crook that gap is getting smaller rather than getting larger." “Every day ordinary people do extraordinary things, when you are right in the middle of it sometimes you can’t see a way out. You get dragged down by disappointment and negativity – if you let it keep you there then that’s where you are going to stay." “The good thing if there is another game coming up, another chance, and that is why my optimism stays.” Ian Holloway: “When you get closer to the finish line, you muster something up, their players will know they have to do better and they have a very, very good manager in Chris, so they are going to have some sort of reaction in the coming weeks.” “It’s all about character and Chris and his staff have more than enough to turn that group around. That makes them dangerous and it is going to be a very tough game, but it’s about us – can we impose ourselves on the – that’s what I want to see." Form: Match facts: QPR are unbeaten in their last five league matches against Sunderland (W3 D2). Sunderland have lost their last two league visits to Loftus Road since a 3-2 win in the Premier League in December 2011, with Wes Brown scoring a 90th-minute winner. QPR midfielder Luke Freeman has created 23 chances for striker Matt Smith in the Championship this season, the most from one player to another. Sunderland have collected five points in their last 11 league visits to London (P11 W1 D2 L8). The Hoops have not lost a home Championship match against a side starting the day bottom of the league since April 2006 against Crewe Alexandra (W4 D1 since). Since the start of last season, Sunderland have started the day in the relegation zone for 61 of their 74 league matches (82% of their total games), including 25 of their last 27 Championship matches. I am going to this game so I expect the team to show a lot more passion and finally get that win to kick-start our greatest of great escapes. My guess/hope is a 2-1 away win Ha’way the Lads
Gone for a 1-0 away win but have no idea why when you take into account we have only one fit central defender. Backs to the wall doesn't go close.
It’s a shame Browning is injured and Clarke-Salter is out because I’ve been wondering how they’d do alongside Kone in a 442. Might find out next game. As it is having to play Jones there nigh on guarantees a loss. He’s not even good in the position that he actually plays in.
I think even if Coleman wanted to go 4 at the back his hand is forced to stay with 5 due to our injury crisis at centre back. ----------------------Steele--------------------------- ---------Love-------Konè--------Galloway------ Matthews-------Robson----------Oviedo---- ----------------Ejaria-----Honeyman------------- ------------------Asoro---Maja---------------------

As we've only had five wins all season very few fans will have been celebrating birthday success, but I live in hope as what else have we got at the moment.
