The Good: Willock and Chair are capable of ripping up this league with the right support. Which brings me on to... The Bad: None of our three main strikers look truly capable. Charlie brings experience but not the legs anymore; Dykes often looks like he's never played the game; Gray is a one-trick pony whose trick is not suited to our style of play. The Ugly: Shame to see Mr Deaney reduced to such utter uselessness wasn't it
I dont quite understand this post. Gray is a one trick pony? Doesnt suit our style of play? There were numerous balls last night that Gray would have latched on to where Dykes and Austin couldnt. If dykes had Austins footballing brain then he will be a fine striker, if he had Grays speed on the ground he would be a fine striker. All our strikers bring different attributes. I personally would have liked to see Gray start with Austin last night.
Yes Ball is a good back up player, can play different positions and gives 100%. I just don't think if everyone was fit he'd be in our normal starting 11 We found another very competent LWB last night in Willock. A very smart move by Warbuton.
I agree regarding ball. Willock also filled in well but much prefer him further up field doing what he does best.
Sounds like McCallum and maybe Wallace will be back after the International break so hopefully just Preston where he or maybe Moses will have to cover there.
Is it just me but Dom Ball appears to be our new Mickey Leech....... does a lot of the unpleasant donkey work allowing other's the freedom to do the things they do best and really not appreciated for what he gives to the team....... Just a thought......
Thanks for not letting my 6-fold down. Can't say the same for Real Madrid failing to beat Sheriff at home Don't gamble folks
Charlie is indeed limited for speed but has a habit of being in the right place at the right time. Had a tap in last night and saved. Another night it goes in. Hope we've not seen the end of Dykes' purple patch. Gray. Way too early!
OK we won but truly uninspiring, What has Austin brought to the team this season, apart from Everton. Dozell he just hasn't got what it takes IMO. Dickie Chair and Willock superb. Chair though is very predictable and needs to get his head up more as he can put in a good cross. Need a bit more flair and purpose Saturday and a win to stay up there

I don't think Ronaldo was a realistic option. He was always going back to United. I would have taken either of them though if I'm honest. I wouldn't mind that Lewandowski fella either or Erling Haaland.
Some of our fanbase would portray him as the second coming of Jamie Mackie. Considering where we are, we are lucky to have him, and this squad. I think I'm right in saying that we've got one of the lowest budgets in this league. We're punching above our weight and we'll have our ups and downs but this our Ranger's. I really don't mind if we go up or down but I'm enjoying being up the other end of the table for a while.
